To recreate Sandrone's look faithfully, hair and makeup alone took nearly three hours. The base makeup demanded pristine translucency, placing all focus on the eyes. After putting in bright blue contact lenses, I swept cool-toned eyeshadow across the lids, deepening the outer corners and accentuating distinct, fluttery lashes to capture that cool, slightly tsundere gaze typical of 2D characters. The eyebrows were drawn slim and kept soft in tone to avoid overshadowing the Blue-eyed makeup. For the Wig styling, the wig was cut with layered dimension so the long face-framing strands contoured naturally along the cheeks; the white ruffled bonnet perched on top was anchored firmly with bobby pins, allowing the red ribbons and tassels cascading down the left side to flutter gracefully with my movements and breathe kinetic life into the frame.
The outfit's structure is remarkably complex: the upper bodice features a white strapless core spliced with vertical golden pinstripes, paired with dramatic black puff sleeves. These sleeves hold a crisp, structured flare, lined with red facing and metal clasps at the cuffs that frame and elevate the entire shoulder silhouette when lifting the arms. Around the neck sits a black mandarin collar trimmed with geometric red netting, echoing the crimson ribbons on the headdress. The skirt cascades in multi-tiered layers of red, white, and black textiles, detailed with delicate lace and gold accents along the hems. Dressing required securing snap fasteners and ribbons tier by tier to ensure nothing shifted during movement. Hand poses were deliberately choreographed with fingers gently folded over the chest, striking an elegant posture while cleanly showcasing the pleated craftsmanship of the cuffs.
The set was staged before a solid pink backdrop, which tempered the heavy visual weight of the black and red palette and infused the compositions with subtle softness. Lighting relied on softboxes: front fill kept facial planes bright and smooth, while a subtle kicker light from the rear flank carved out the wig's silky texture and the dimensional architecture of the Gothic style outfit. Only a corner of the prop beside my left hand was kept in frame, allowing its metallic finish and blue-violet luminescence to contrast against the overall palette.
The primary physical challenge was enduring the sheer weight of the heavy skirt. Keeping the torso erect demanded continuous core engagement while simultaneously balancing the prop's orientation; after two hours of shooting, my shoulders definitely felt the strain. Yet seeing how crisply the textiles and makeup details were preserved in the final images made every bit of effort worthwhile. For an aesthetic imbued with dark gothic flair, posing requires measured restraint rather than exaggerated motions—subtle angles and downcast glances are all it takes to project the character's signature presence.
