Outdoor location shoot by the lake on World Line D2, the final photos for this Sandrone Cosplay have finally arrived. At that time on the grass under the overcast evening sky, the wind blew the skirt hem into a mess. Teacher Mumu and Master Quan circled around me looking for angles, and the final result was truly pleasantly surprising.

The details of this outfit are extremely numerous; the white, black, and red color scheme plus the huge cross-star decoration on the waist binder makes it very easy to get dirty at an outdoor convention. For this outdoor shoot, before heading out, I specially re-trimmed the bangs layers of the wig and brought two pairs of blue contact lenses as spares. The top is a sleeveless off-the-shoulder design, with the black ruffled choker around the neck and the white petals on the chest cascading together, which looks relatively heavy visually. Therefore, slight adjustments were made to the proportions of the waist and legs, paired with white over-the-knee socks and high heels, so the visual center of gravity wouldn't pile up entirely on the upper body. The edges of the detached arm sleeves have very complex pleats and red bows, which limit movement after putting them on, but look exceptionally imposing when posing. The props prepared included a white teacup and saucer with gold rims; those few photos of sitting on a green suitcase were actually because standing in high heels made me tired, so I simply sat down to rest, which unexpectedly resulted in a few very relaxed photos.

The human traffic by the lake convention was huge, with the distant view entirely consisting of the city skyline on the opposite bank, and a large number of photographic light stands on the lawn. Master Quan was particularly skilled at utilizing the on-site breeze during the shoot, capturing quite a few moments of the skirt hem and long hair fluttering. Because the surrounding vegetation leaned green, coupled with the flat lighting of the afternoon overcast sky, some adjustments were made to the camera's white balance beforehand to ensure that the dark black details weren't lost and the white overskirt didn't overexpose, so that the texture of that vintage dress could be preserved during post-processing color grading. The wind was strong that day, and the edges of the over-the-knee socks frequently needed adjusting to prevent strap marks from affecting the frame. During shoot breaks, many convention-going friends came over to take group photos, and everyone was very friendly. Although walking on the grass in this gear was extremely inconvenient, meeting fellow enthusiasts to communicate and discuss details made it feel completely worthwhile.

In fact, every time I go for an outdoor shoot, from makeup foundation to wearing all accessories, and then to finding light and adjusting postures on-site, the entire process consumes a massive amount of physical strength. But it is precisely this kind of tedious preparation work that allows the final photos to achieve the best presentation through the lens. The meaning of Convention photos is not just showing how good-looking this outfit is, but also recording a genuine period of time spent by that specific lake, shared with the photographers and everyone around.
