This studio shoot theme revolves around this gorgeous red, black, and gold color-schemed attire. I feel that for this character, that lazy yet at-ease temperament is the core of expression. Therefore, for movements, I didn't select rigid standing postures, but instead looked for extended focal points on the desktop and bar counter as much as possible. The silver long hair paired with the black wing-like ornaments on both sides, combined with the purplish-red pupils, makes the styling quite three-dimensional. The clothing fabric selects slightly glossy satin and embossed materials, presenting highly rich light-and-shadow variations under the lamps—especially the fluorescent purple stripes on the chest and boots, which are the highlights of this styling.

Specific to the shooting process, our scene setup was divided into two parts. The first part was in front of the dark wooden liquor cabinet and bar counter, utilizing the wine bottles on the shelves, vintage candelabras, and dessert racks to construct a gorgeous, private sense of space. This dark-toned environment is highly suitable for highlighting those luminous materials; paired with overhead lighting and facial fill light, it can bring out the skin texture and the translucency of the silver hair. The other part was a green desktop against a solid gray-blue backdrop, with chips, playing cards, red decorative petals, and a compact prop gun scattered on the table. To shoot these clips carrying a sense of plot narrative, what needs to be mastered most is the projection of the gaze—not staring dead at the lens, but carrying a bit of nonchalant scrutiny.

To better recreate that cold and elegant feel from the setting, this makeup discarded overly heavy blush, focusing heavy attention on the contour of the eyeshadow and the lip color. The deep purplish-red lip makeup echoes the purple pupils, cooperating with slightly upturned fine eyeliner to make the gaze even more piercing. The silver-white wig actually requires special attention to the light perception during handling; it was combed relatively fluffily before shooting, and a wind machine was slightly used to bring out a slice of flowing elegance during the shoot, creating a light-and-heavy contrast with the thick, heavy clothes. The golden borders and fluorescent stripes on the black long boots, alongside the faintly visible star-shaped tattoo sticker on the thigh, added many layers to the originally pure black base wear, looking exceptionally photogenic in side close-ups.

Another minor detail in the shoot is the gloves. Black half-finger gloves can display the lines of the hands better than fully enveloped styles; when doing actions like resting the chin on one hand or touching the forehead, they can better transmit the character's feel of controlling the entire situation. The red skirt hem of the costume is relatively wide, spreading out beautifully during lying positions to increase the volume of the frame without making the body appear thin. Taking time out of a busy schedule to shoot a set of high-quality photoshoots was truly relaxing. Freely exhibiting the character's charm before the lens is what I find most interesting about cosplay. When selecting photos normally, perhaps you all could also try more combinations of different props and backdrops. Movements don't need deliberately forced posing; finding the most comfortable stance often yields a more natural result.

Actually, during the process of representing this character, I also discovered that limb extension is very important. For instance, the side-lying posture with lifted legs can nicely stretch the body lines, and paired with the fluorescent color blocks on the boots, it forms a visual jumping effect under dark light, which highly tests the photographer's rhythm of focusing and snap-capturing. Additionally, I intentionally selected some scattered red rose petals on the desktop as accents; these fragmented colors generate a contrast with the deep green desktop, preventing the frame from appearing dull. Throughout the entire shooting process, we repeatedly tried lying-down angles multiple times, and the few photos ultimately selected precisely caught those moments where the body completely relaxes yet maintains the character's mystery. From early preparations to actual shooting and then to photo selection, this immersive experience is a joy that every person who loves cosplay can perceive.
