For this Koharu cosplay set from Blue Archive, every detail from gear to makeup was restored with utmost precision. The two photos shown feature a half-body close-up holding the R-18 book prop, and a full-length portrait wearing the complete black-and-red sailor uniform Cosplay outfit. Intertwining monochrome black-and-white with vivid pink and red creates a powerful visual contrast.

First, let's look at the design details of this Cosplay outfit. The loose black jacket is actually not a standard cut—the neckline was tailored to slip off shoulders slightly, revealing the white inner strap underneath. This half-off look fits Koharu's innocent yet easily embarrassed personality setting perfectly. Pink stripes edge the white sailor collar, creating instant visual layering. The red ribbon bow is crafted from satin, displaying subtle lustrous sheen under studio lights. The hem of the red pleated skirt rests at mid-thigh, working with the black cord dangling from the choker to achieve a fine balance between innocence and playful charm.

The main highlight is the pair of black wings mounted on the back. The prop team utilized lightweight materials this time, creating a multi-layered silhouette for the flight wings. When cosplaying winged characters previously, an unstable center of gravity often led to rigid standing postures; this time, the harness straps were adjusted perfectly, avoiding shoulder strain while allowing the wings to rest naturally behind during bending or turning. Mounting the wings completely transformed the aura—pairing a lightweight uniform with these crisp, structured wings creates the oppressive presence of a serious enforcer of justice.

Next regarding hair and makeup. To ensure fidelity to character visual design, I selected a soft pink long straight wig with straight-cut bangs in this Pink hair cosplay styling. Soft synthetic wig fibers contoured smoothly around face lines, creating a flattering slimming effect. For eye makeup, pinkish-red contact lenses were chosen to give the gaze an innocent yet deep expression. Enhanced under-eye blush shading paired with false eyelashes enlarged eye proportions. This water-red eye shadow resonated with the matching wig color, looking exquisite even under extreme close-up macro shots in this Anime-style photography session.

For the book prop, I specifically sourced a booklet with a brown cover. You might notice the text markings on the cover—the R-18 logo and the pink anime girl silhouette illustration serve as iconic signature props for Koharu, making it effortless to capture her characteristic demeanor when held in hand. There's also a tiny detail in the second close-up photo: a hand appearing on the right side of the frame belongs to my photographer friend helping adjust my wig bangs. Since movements were dynamic during shooting, crooked bangs would ruin the overall look; having assistance nearby made things much smoother, resulting in perfectly symmetrical hair in the final render.

Indoor shooting light was kept casual without relying on complex fill lighting setups. Natural ambient lighting yielded a very comfortable texture—skin rendering looked translucent and natural, while outfit blacks remained rich rather than flat. For the first photo, a slightly high-angle (slightly overhead) composition was chosen; arms crossed in front conveyed a well-behaved demeanor, while the exposed red skirt and leg contours added visual draw, making it perfect as a cover photo. This angle encapsulated the red skirt, black jacket, choker, and wings into frame with crisp focus and vibrant color saturation.

Cosplaying Koharu was an immensely fun process, because in official lore she often solemnly declares phrases like 'Echi wa damai!' (No lewd thoughts!) while being easily embarrassed internally. Thus, during shooting I intentionally blended a solemn expression with a restrained smile, capturing her tsundere cute essence. With this styling finished, slightly narrowing the torso frame paired with off-shoulder wear made the silhouette appear delicate and dynamic visually. This photoshoot went seamlessly; costume tailoring and wig styling both met expectations, making for a delightful character roleplay experience.
