[Ganyu Cosplay] Genshin Impact Weekend Visit to Dongguan Dongshi C Park Anime Market

On Saturday afternoon at Dongguan Dongshi C Park CC Anime Market, right after finishing an outdoor shoot before I even had time to take off my wig and full outfit, I was dragged by friends to explore this permanent anime market. Hearing that the ACGN atmosphere here was exceptionally vibrant, I brought along this outfit to snap a few check-in convention photos while browsing.

My Genshin Impact Ganyu Cosplay outfit mainly features a black and blue color tone, decorated with starlight dots and unique totem motifs along the skirt hem. For accessories, I wore iconic red tassel ornaments, golden ring-shaped accents, and black gloves with intricate patterns on both hands. The hair ornaments and blue wig styling were quite complex; I intentionally posed standing on one leg during the shoot, using black high heels to elongate my body silhouette and capture the character's nimble, elegant grace as much as possible. Given the intricate details of the wig and outfit, walking around outdoors was somewhat inconvenient, but inside this mall market environment, it was effortless to comfortably display the full look.

The market setup fits the vibe beloved by everyday ACGN enthusiasts perfectly—stalls were lined with uniform yellow-and-white checkered cloths, packed to the brim with goods. Everything was covered, from flat acrylic standees, character badges, clear cards, and oversized shikishi boards, to handmade hairbands and plush accessories. The moment we arrived, my friend rushed off to various IP booths while I casually scanned for loot. Along the way, I saw many fellow enthusiasts in various outfit styles enjoying themselves. Though the foot traffic was high, it never felt overly crowded, offering a very relaxed atmosphere.

The IP coverage here was surprisingly broad. Beyond my own Genshin Impact cosplay, the stalls featured Chiikawa plushies, Ensemble Stars!, Arknights, Haikyu!!, Blue Lock, and many other hit titles. There was even a dedicated stall for Fate series merch; I drew an Ichiban Kuji keychain on a whim for just 15 RMB—easily the most cost-effective treasure of the day, and I happened to pull a character I really like!

After browsing the outdoor stalls, we visited nearby brick-and-mortar merch shops. MINISO had a few collaboration items, while stores like Guqi and Guanguwu specialized in more hardcore Dongguan anime merch shopping. Guanguwu had numerous promotional posters at its entrance, with entire walls inside neatly lined with badges, making it a paradise for collectors. Beyond standard merch, currently trending games like NIKKE, the highly talked-about Girls Band Cry, and classic IPs like Detective Conan were all stocked. The shelves in these physical stores were densely packed with creative cultural goods and anime merch, making it delightfully overwhelming to choose.

We originally planned for a quick walk, but my friend and I ended up browsing the market and surrounding shops for nearly three hours! Though my feet were sore from standing in high heels, all that fatigue vanished the moment I started hunting for favorite collectibles among the dazzling array of goods. That's the biggest charm of offline merch shopping compared to online buying—you can physically feel the texture of acrylic standees and see the exquisite character artwork in person.

This anime market runs every Saturday from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Dongguan Dongshi C Park CC Anime Market, just a short walk from Exit G of Hongfu Road Metro Station towards the area opposite International Trade Center. The signage is very easy to spot. Friends in local chat groups mentioned that permanent markets like this are rare in Dongguan, so maintaining a regular schedule like this is genuinely impressive.
