This time, I bring you a home cosplay of Takanashi Hoshino from Blue Archive, with the theme of enjoying sleep time with Sensei. The scene in the photos was specifically chosen by the window with abundant natural light, paired with earth-tone plaid throw pillows and a white bed, aiming to create a relaxed, defenseless atmosphere full of everyday life feel.
For the wig, I selected a long straight light pink style. The smooth texture and face-framing bangs are key to recreating the character's features, with the strands showing a delicate translucent quality under backlight. The fluffy cat ear wig on top enhances the overall softness, and paired with the pink spiral halo effect line drawn in post-production, it merges iconic 2D roleplay elements with real 3D lighting. Regarding makeup details, the base makeup was kept clean and translucent, focusing mainly on the eye makeup. Wearing heterochromia contact lenses gives the eyes more charm and spirit, while the outer corners are smudged with orange-red eyeshadow, creating a lovely visual transition with the light hair color. The lips are coated with a highly moisturizing tomato-red lip tint, brightening the complexion while adding a touch of laziness and vibrancy.
The outfit features an oversized white off-shoulder sweatshirt, a style that perfectly fits the loungewear and pajamas concept, nicely exposing the collarbone line and neck. A white leather collar around the neck with a pink cartoon bell attached instantly adds a touch of playfulness and cuteness to the overall look. The hem of the sweatshirt is also printed with red cat paw patterns; though partially covered by the pillow, the subtly visible patterns echo the cat ear elements in the details.
In terms of shooting postures, I wanted to express the character's innocent and casual state when relaxing. For example, closing my eyes to feel the sunlight, resting my chin on my hand while quietly gazing at the camera, or slightly raising both hands to mimic cute cat paws. These small gestures were adjusted repeatedly to capture the defenseless moments after the character lets down her guard during this roleplay. The weather was wonderful on the day of the shoot; the warm afternoon light slanting across the pink wig and white clothes added rich layers to the hair texture, making the entire tone soft and clear, reducing harshness from cold light, and rendering skin tones more natural.
When composing shots, the photographer's guidance was crucial to avoid cutting off the head and ears at the frame edges, while creating visual breathing room through the positioning of the pillow and hands. In this comfortable and intimate space, paired with a lazy sitting posture and a low-angle perspective, it effectively conveys a sense of ease and freedom. Whether for those familiar with this setting or for viewers simply enjoying healing home photography, this set of works aims to deliver a warm, quiet sense of companionship. Enjoying a moment of leisurely time is the core message I wanted to express.
