[Reimu Hakurei Cosplay] Offline Photoshoot Record at Touhou Project Convention

Putting on the classic Red and white shrine maiden outfit for Reimu Hakurei Cosplay, organizing the fluffy headpiece and straight-bangs wig with wispy strands, and popping in red contact lenses, I kicked off today's convention schedule.

This outfit has rich layers; the collar features golden flower decorations and ruffles, while the oversized bow on the back and dangling white fur ball earrings sway gently as I walk, adding a lot of charm. Today is a Touhou Project themed session, so almost everyone around is a fellow fan, creating a very welcoming atmosphere for our Casual cosplay gathering.

After arriving in the morning, I met up with a blonde friend in the hallway—the scene pictured in the first selfie. Her black-and-red dress coordination was gorgeous, creating a vivid color contrast when we stood side by side. Since indoor lighting was mixed, we found a brighter hallway to take clear selfies, capturing the subtle jacquard patterns and accessory details on our outfits for these Convention photos.

After taking duo shots, we headed to check out different booths. The second picture is a solo shot in front of the Mengyu Experience Officer event board, featuring a full single-subject composition. Once positioned, I adjusted my sleeves so the wide off-white outer sleeves draped naturally at my sides, revealing the deep red inner top and printed belt around my waist. Under warm convention lights, the saturation of the red and white color scheme was restored beautifully.

To merge the display board's design elements with the character's costume in a single frame, I chose a standing pose facing forward with a slight side angle. Without needing complex poses, simply tuning facial expression and eye direction yielded great shots. The left side of the board featured blue theme tags for Star Select and Lamp Quest, while the purple-haired illustrated character in the background formed an amusing visual contrast with my Red and white shrine maiden attire.

As crowds increased, walking around the hall in this layered Shrine maiden outfit proved physically demanding. The wide cuffs occasionally got snagged by passing backpacks, requiring constant attention to keep the outfit neat. Yet whenever I spotted good backdrops or lighting, I couldn't help stopping for more Convention photos. Red-black contacts tend to lose brightness on camera, so I tried finding spots with ample follow-spots or key lights to ensure clear catchlights in my eyes.

I didn't prepare a complex pose plan today, opting instead for a casual record wherever I walked. This set of Convention photos combines selfie interactions with good friends and solo showcase shots in front of booths, piecing together this half-day convention log. As a Reimu Hakurei Cosplay showcase, experiencing today's Touhou Project themed floor felt complete; whether in candid passerby shots or self-angled compositions, the classic charm of this character shone through.

Sorting through the pictures, I noticed my headpiece and wig shifted slightly during the event, but these are normal traces of offline shoots that don't detract from the character portrayal.
