Shooting this Genshin Impact Shenhe cosplay was honestly a real test of physical stamina; due to the unique design of the costume and numerous accessories, the overall weight was considerably heavier than imagined. Styling the wig took quite a bit of time, especially the metallic horns at the crown and the long hair flanking both sides, requiring setting spray to secure natural, graceful curves. For makeup, the focus was placed on the reddish halo around the eye sockets and elongated eyeliner, paired with a cool porcelain base to closely match the character's aloof, defined facial contours. The dark, cutout attire accented with tassels and Chinese frog buttons flatters body curves nicely, while the trailing train at the back and detached sleeves create a stunning dynamic flutter when caught by the outdoor breeze.
We chose an open meadow for this Outdoor photography shoot, where low-angle upward framing effectively used the vast sky as a scenic backdrop. The lighting was just right as the sun set; the golden warm glow formed a striking contrast against the character's cool-toned attire. Holding that blue-grey oiled paper umbrella required significant arm strength to sustain, yet it infused the overall composition with classic elegance. On my feet, pairing black stiletto heels with White stockings demanded extreme care for footing when walking across the grass. The perspectives in the final photos primarily showcase the character's elongated leg lines and poised, upright standing posture. With the long train billowing in the wind coupled with a detached gaze, the photographic results matched my vision completely. I hope that when seeing these finished photos, everyone can feel the character's unworldly aura as she gazes into the far distance.
