[Kamisato Ayaka Cosplay] Genshin Impact Kendo Uniform Look Daily Snippets Sharing

The line "Checkmate" is an iconic moment in Kamisato Ayaka's kendo movements, and this time I chose to shoot with this look. For this Kamisato Ayaka cosplay, I didn't choose that classic formal dress, but instead appeared in this light blue and white outfit with Kendo uniform cosplay elements, hoping to showcase that touch of gentleness wrapped in steel in the daily life of the eldest daughter of the Kamisato Clan.
Handling the wig was the highlight of this look. The silver-white strands have excellent light-transmitting quality under the light. I first trimmed the bangs, intentionally thinning them out a layer to prevent thick bangs from blocking the eye makeup. The two twin-tails used pink braided ropes as hair accessories; this pink-and-white color scheme perfectly fits the character's girlish heart while also playing a role in brightening the overall tone of the frame. For the care of the wig, besides routine combing, the key lies in the layers of the hair ends and the natural curve of the bangs. These details often determine the accuracy of the entire wig, and a good wig can elevate the overall spirit to a higher level.
In terms of clothing, this light-colored top with light blue piping has a strong sense of Japanese style and Kendo uniform. To show the draping texture of the clothes, I used a garment steamer in advance to smooth out all the wrinkles on the body of the outfit, especially those blue edge lines, which would look very cluttered in the lens if not handled properly. The clothing pattern looks loose, but for the shooting effect, I did careful anti-exposure adjustments inside and cinched the waist, which not only ensures freedom of movement but also maintains an upright posture.
For makeup, I specially picked light blue colored contacts to restore Kamisato Ayaka's agile eyes, highlighting the silver hair and blue eyes features. The focus of the eye makeup lies in the elongation of the outer corners of the eyes and the application of lower eyelashes. This treatment effectively enlarges the proportion of the eyes, making the gaze look deeper and more agile. Coupled with the light red lip glaze and the pinkish-orange blush embellished under the eyes, the entire makeup look gains an extra touch of delicate gentleness. To highlight the facial highlights and shadows in photography, the base makeup setting was done very delicately, avoiding issues of oiliness and cakey powder.
Capturing the light and shadow during the shoot was indeed a challenge. That warm-toned backlighting effect in the photos was actually brought by the natural afternoon light pouring through the window. This side-backlighting can beautifully outline the rim light of the white hair, making the edges of the hair strands sparkle. To catch this fleeting aura, I kept fine-tuning my standing angle so that my face could be softly illuminated while the reflections outside the window were mirrored in my gaze. At the moment the shutter was pressed, I would always silently repeat the line "Checkmate" in my mind, trying to blend that calmness and confidence belonging to a swordsman into my expression.
As for the difference between the two photos, picture one leans towards a natural and soft texture, presenting a pure light effect; picture two adds some blue graffiti stickers and hand-drawn elements, adding a bit of playful and lively Anime cosplay feel. Personally, I actually prefer to use picture one for display, because that clear and natural texture can better showcase the details and colors of the wig and costume itself. Meanwhile, the 2D graffiti style of picture two is suitable for use as an avatar or expressing another relaxed and casual mood. Trying two different styles are both valuable records of this Kamisato Ayaka cosplay, and when everyone browses on the platform, they can also feel this subtle character atmosphere I want to convey.
