[Shenhe cosplay] Genshin Impact Qipao Auntie Chapter: Sunlight and Breeze at Changfeng Park

In July's Shanghai, sunlight poured down unsparingly, making the tree shade and pavilions at Changfeng Park ideal shooting locations. Bringing the Zeniko ZF08 flash paired with an a7m4 to provide fill light under strong outdoor sunlight this time gave this Shenhe cosplay Qipao dress a completely distinct texture through Flash photography.

Regarding costume, deep navy blue base fabric is paired with extensive gold embroidery and tassels; the halterneck and off-the-shoulder design feels both refreshing and highly recognizable in summer. Detachable sleeve covers and drapes of long ribbons add dynamic motion, while black patent leather high heels press the overall visual center downward to elongate leg lines. Before shooting, I specifically checked details of headpieces and red cords, which reflected distinct lusters under sunlight.

Trying several sitting poses in the pavilion, a low-angle perspective was particularly suited for showing the extension of the Qipao hem and shoes, which, combined with flash filling to darken the background, made the subject instantly pop out. Dappled forest tree shadows fell naturally across the bench and legs. Actually, outdoor flash photography isn't just about lighting up the face—using it to outline garment folds and metal accessory reflections is also key. The Zeniko ZF08 had plenty of power with soft, unharsh light, casting great dimensionality even with a single light.

The whole photoshoot took about two hours, with the trickiest part being the angle of the ribbons, which needed readjustment whenever a gust of wind blew by. Luckily, the wind stayed manageable that day, and most shots captured the ideal flowing motion. This Chinese fantasy-style attire heavily tests tailoring and fabric quality; fortunately, the material's drape was great this time, avoiding excessive creasing even in sitting postures.

In the end, I picked several angles I was quite satisfied with, featuring both standing agility and sitting languor. I personally prefer the slightly low-angle composition in Photo 3, where lines of legs and shoes are elongated, creating a very comfortable color contrast against the pavilion's red pillars and green trees in the background. Post-processing didn't involve complex color grading, only fine-tuning brightness and color temperature to preserve the summer atmosphere seen during shooting as much as possible.

This look felt exceptionally tranquil amid the greenery of Changfeng Park, completely different from the bustling vibe of anime conventions. It was a very relaxed Summer outdoor photoshoot experience; thanks to the photographer's patience.
