This outfit is quite distinct from her usual looks: icy blue long hair paired with an expansive white fuzzy shawl visually delivers the crisp, chilly air of winter frost, yet when matched with pink hair accessories and cherry blossoms, it hints at the arrival of spring—a truly delightful contrast. While posing, I also tried resting it quietly on my lap to evoke a sense of tranquil serenity.

The folding fan was chosen to emphasize the character's noble grace and elegance. Using the fan to veil half the face or utilizing its folded geometric lines to add compositional intrigue were techniques favored by the photographer. The black-and-gold gradient folding fan boasted exquisite texture; under a wide-aperture prime lens, the floral motifs across the fan surface appeared remarkably refined. When holding the fan, wrist articulation had to remain exceptionally soft to avoid stiffness—thankfully, practicing extensively in front of a mirror beforehand ensured the results looked completely organic. The deep contrast between the fan's dark hues and the icy blue hair infused the entire photo with captivating visual tension.

The katana was the pivotal key to elevating her martial aura. Although the blade itself was quite heavy, finding the correct posture and center of balance made it look effortless and graceful on camera. The low-angle shot holding the katana, framed with cascading cherry blossom branches as foreground blur, pushed the delicate balance between chilly detachment and soft beauty to its peak during Cherry blossom season. While shooting this setup, my wrist remained firmly engaged to prevent the blade from slipping, while the photographer captured that exact glance as I tilted my head upward. Subtle adjustments to light and shadow in post-processing accentuated porcelain-cool skin tones, perfectly harmonizing with Genshin Impact lore. Through this prop, I truly connected with the character's duality—a martial spirit wrapped in gentle nobility.

For the location, we deliberately selected a traditional Japanese architectural setting. The wooden lattice windows, circular moon gates, and blue-and-white porcelain vases in the background provided rich environmental textures. The photographer used a Sony A7C2 paired with the FE 24-70mm F2.8 GM II and FE 50mm F1.4 GM lenses; the dreamy bokeh created by the wide aperture melted the foreground cherry blossoms and background lattice into a mesmerizing atmosphere. Color grading in post-production leaned cool and translucent, carefully preserving the saturation of the pink and blue garment tones so the visuals remained dimensional without feeling oversaturated. The pink cherry blossoms in the foreground enhanced the dreamlike ambiance, flawlessly aligning with the White Heron Sakura concept.

As for the seated pose highlighting the legs, wearing geta clogs for an extended period caused foot fatigue, and fine-tuning an aesthetically pleasing crossed-leg posture took considerable trial and error. The deep blue skirt hem and light blue bodice displayed stunning tonal depth under the light, enriched by delicate pink tassels and bow details throughout. To complement this close-up gaze, I specifically practiced subtle micro-expressions. This costume places high demands on body silhouette—especially shoulder and leg contours—so I focused on toning and lean prepping days prior to the shoot. Though the entire process was challenging, capturing such visually compelling imagery before the lens made every effort profoundly rewarding.
