[Kamisato Ayaka Cosplay] Genshin Impact: Moonlight Preview Under Night Cherry Blossoms - Image 1

Returning after shooting this night scene and looking at this preview in front of my computer, I feel quite emotional. Although hauling props and climbing trees to find angles in the middle of the night was admittedly a bit torturous, seeing the moon, cherry blossoms, and the character framed together makes the midnight trouble completely worth it.

This shoot opted for a tilted composition, which, paired with the blue ribbon swirling out, gives the entire frame a forward sense of dynamic movement. The full moon in the background is actually a natural massive light source, providing an excellent cool-toned key light at night that highlights the texture on the white hair and hair accessories beautifully. To nail this non-horizontal angle during the shoot, I repeatedly adjusted my fan-holding hand gestures multiple times, while ensuring the ribbon wouldn't be blown by the wind and tangled in the tree branches.

In terms of the costume, this blue-and-white modified attire holds quite a few details. The fluff along the collar and shoulders turns out amazing under the moonlight, and the red cord knots at the chest and waist, along with the red bow hair accessory, serve as the perfect finishing touches for this look, forming an excellent visual balance with the large areas of cool tones. The black and yellow color scheme of the folding fan also helps brighten the image. Although the overall color palette leans cold, adding these red and yellow elements prevents the overall feel from looking too dull.

The biggest fear in night photography is often the image turning into a blurry mess or having heavy digital noise. Before this shoot, I specifically adjusted the position of the fill lights to let side-backlighting carve out the character's silhouette and illuminate the edges of the silvery-white wig. During post-production, I moderately darkened the background night sky and black tree branches while preserving the original pinkish-white tones of the cherry blossom petals. Finally, I added some snowflake-like bokeh effects, ensuring the night cherry blossom forest is no longer monotonous, crafting this dreamy yet slightly crisp, cool ambient feel.

Honestly, wearing this winter-style costume outdoors to shoot night cherry blossoms gets quite cold when the night breeze sweeps through. My hands were somewhat frozen stiff, and it took a bit of effort to steadily hold that folding fan. Yet for anyone who loves cosplay photography, as long as the captured frame matches the expectations in one's mind, these hardships are nothing. During the shooting process, the moments when the wind blew the cherry blossoms down, landing on my shoulders and the fan, truly carried the exact temperament characteristic of the character herself.

Releasing this single picture as a preview first is also to share the visual keynote of the entire scene. Over the next few days, I'll likely continue organizing other photos with different angles and compositions, hoping to present the completeness of this night cherry blossom theme as much as possible. This outdoor night shooting experience has also accumulated plenty of insights, making me feel much more confident about similar night scene portrait sessions in the future.
