[Sandrone Cosplay] Genshin Impact's Mint Chocolate Lolita Custom Design, A Perfect Match

The photos for the mint chocolate color-schemed Sandrone Cosplay custom design are all sorted out. Trying out a Lolita style for this character for the first time, the entire shooting process and the final images are highly worth recording.

For this preparation, a Lolita dress was chosen as the carrier for the custom design. The headpiece features interwoven brown and mint green ribbons, bordered by layers of stacked white lace, with small bows as embellishments. The milky-blonde wig with straight bangs, paired with blue-purple colored contact lenses, kept the overall makeup minimal, focusing on a clean and natural look, relying mainly on the color contrast of the contacts and wig to highlight the character's features.

In terms of the specific clothing coordination, the mint green dress body is pieced with a brown hem and satin ribbons, while the neckline and cuffs feature white pleated lace. Under the outdoor light, the clashing colors of mint green and brown look very soft, and the texture also appears quite nice. During the shoot, I kept holding that plush teddy bear, which not only helped solve the awkwardness of not knowing how to pose for my first cosplay, but also perfectly blended into the atmosphere of the Lolita outfit.

Although it is a custom design for Sandrone, I did not rigidly stick to the original elements in the game. This character itself gives me a feeling of independence and sophistication with a touch of coldness; trying to interpret this contrast using a sweet Lolita style, combined with a relatively cool-toned color scheme like mint chocolate, actually helps preserve that sense of detachment. Attempting a flat photoshoot for the first time, my grasp of the lens's spatial sense and the angles of my movements was still a bit unpracticed, but I certainly learned a lot of practical experience through this outdoor cosplay photography session.

In the first photo, I sat on steps covered with pebbles, with a building featuring a white wall and lettering behind me. This sitting posture paired with holding the plush toy helped me relax relatively quickly, making the final image look very natural. The second photo changed the scene, shooting standing in front of a terraced green belt; this one quite completely showcases the pattern design of the entire dress, the fluffiness of the skirt, and the upper body design. For the third photo, I chose a close-up half-body shot; at that moment, I was raising my hand to adjust the position of my headpiece, and the photographer happened to snap it, turning it into an unexpectedly atmospheric angle.

This outdoor shoot relied entirely on outdoor natural light, which was bright and abundant. No extra reflectors were used for intentional fill light, preserving the original colors of the clothes as much as possible. Wearing this kind of intricate dress for the first time, I also figured out some tips—for example, the curvature of the petticoat needs to be adjusted well while standing, and when sitting down, you must smooth out the skirt hem with your hands to ensure the fluffy volume. The headpiece also needs to be securely fixed to prevent shifting while walking; these small details have a huge impact on the final quality of the photoshoot.

Overall, this mint chocolate custom cosplay attempt for Genshin Impact's Sandrone gave me a lot of positive feedback. From researching the coordination to communicating the shots, it was my first time crossing the boundary from character art to a real-world setting. The final result successfully achieved my imagination for this character's custom design.
