[Seer - Lunar Phase Cosplay] Identity V "Snow-Condensed Dark Moon" Real-Scene Outdoor Shoot: Feeling the Weight of Fate

Putting on this Seer - Lunar Phase outfit for the first time, my eyes were immediately drawn to the multi-layered metal rings around the neck. Although this ring-shaped neck ornament is visually striking, special attention must be paid to the angle when actually wearing it, otherwise it will catch against your chin. The overall look is dominated by a white color palette, containing a wealth of lace, pearl chains, and that iconic wheat-ear starburst headpiece on top of the head. To highlight the theme of "Snow-Condensed Dark Moon," this shoot was intentionally chosen during a day with actual outdoor snowfall. You should know that the biggest challenge of an outdoor shoot on a snowy day is keeping the clothes clean; white easily reflects light under illumination, but the real dancing snow filling the sky also happens to provide a layer of natural filter and atmosphere for the frame.

The spiked metal armor on the hands looks exceptionally powerful in close-up shots, but one needs to control the range of motion when actually wearing it to avoid snagging the delicate gold thread embroidery on the cuffs. The embroidery patterns resemble starbursts and were truly stitched on needle by needle. During the shooting period of these photo sets for our Tianfuhong cosplay session, Sichuan's Tianfuhong happened to welcome a snowfall, making the outdoor landscape uniquely exquisite. The lights of the city streets in the background, refracted through the heavy snow, formed soft bokeh, beautifully accentuating the subject of the character.

In conveying the character's prophetic attributes, I did not choose to intentionally enact compassion this time, but opted instead to rely on the photographer's snapshots. For instance, the image where my hands are clasped together in prayer is meant to convey a serene sense of staring into fate while accepting it with composure. The other actions of raising my hand to catch snow were not actually deliberate designs; rather, during intervals between shots while adjusting my angles, snowflakes coincidentally fell onto my palms and metal armor, and the photographer swiftly captured those moments. This coincidence fits the character's setting of having peered through all world destinies much better than any deliberate posing.

The makeup overall utilized a cooler color palette, paired with light-colored contact lenses and a subtle shimmering highlight under the eyes to emphasize the eye contours, giving the gaze a deeper and more chillingly cold appearance. My favorite part of the styling is the coarse hemp rope belt around the waist. This rugged texture forms a stark contrast with the exquisite lace and white tulle of the upper body, breaking the dominant atmosphere of pure luxury and adding a touch of mystery and weight. There were many details during the shooting process: for instance, the pearl chains dropping from the edge of the lace hood would emit faint, crisp sounds with my movements, and the silver neck ring would leave slight red marks on the skin due to repeatedly changing poses. These tedious yet real physical sensations, conversely, brought me a step closer to this character.

Shooting continuously from afternoon until dusk, the outdoor snow accumulation fell onto the originally light and soft robe, causing the clothes to gradually grow heavy, while stepping into the snow filled my feet with a fair share of chill. That crisp coldness of the natural environment caused my overall posture to become more inwardly focused. Looking at those frames featuring the vast, desolate snowy landscape inside the viewfinder, I felt that the raw wildness and narrative quality brought by this real-scene outdoor shoot are completely irreplaceable by indoor studio shoots. After the shoot ended, the sky had turned completely dark; looking back at the photos in the camera, the lace edges dampened by the melted snow presented a visual effect resembling frost—this kind of little surprise is perhaps the unique romance exclusive to real-scene location shooting. This entire creative process was both a reshaping of the character's image and a highly meaningful challenge to my own expressiveness.
