[Ju Fufu cosplay] Dashing tiger shadow in the Zenless Zone Zero fitting project

This time, Vector Ruins' 3Z fitting project happened to produce this Zenless Zone Zero Ju Fufu outfit, and from seeing the product photos of the costume to finally putting it on, I had been eagerly looking forward to its actual performance. The styling in the photos is truly distinctive: the cropped jacket with yellow-and-black patchwork is very neat, and the cuffs are made of leather with a subtle reflective sheen. The inner layer is a gray collared shirt with a collar that fits nicely, ensuring it doesn't look bulky whether for daily wear or photoshoots. The black shorts on the lower body feature silver-white wave patterns with very delicate details, paired with white ankle socks and classic black-and-white low-top canvas sneakers, giving the overall look a sporty feel alongside the playful flair characteristic of anime cosplay.

The most eye-catching feature is probably that giant fluffy tail with an orange-yellow to white gradient. The tail has a massive sense of volume and high fluffiness; holding it with one hand while taking photos gives it a tremendous presence. Coupled with the pair of black beast ears with white edges on top of the head (Kemonomimi cosplay), the character's setting elements are basically all in place. Before the shoot, I specifically communicated with the photographer about the desired vibe and settled on this standing pose with eyes closed, head tilted up, and hands on hips. This pose doesn't require excessive facial expressions—simply relaxing and standing straight creates a lazy yet confident aura that fits the character's setting perfectly.

The warm lighting in the studio was very comfortable, especially the side backlight hitting the yellow wig and fluffy tail, casting a soft halo around the edges and maxing out the texture. In the entire shooting process, what tested physical stamina the most was actually positioning that large tail; because of its sheer volume, I had to deliberately adjust my center of gravity and keep my core stable while standing so the pose looked natural and not stiff. Fortunately, the photographer captured shots very quickly, pressing the shutter while my state was at its best. In the photos, the tail is also decorated with a white pompom charm, a detail also featured in the original illustration, showing that the costume was crafted with great dedication to recreating original elements.

Actually, this look also has another version of the photo featuring a chibi character, where the cute chibi in the bottom left corner already captures the essence of the meme "apology meow". Although choosing this full-body photo as the cover looks cleaner and crisper, the humor added by the chibi element is also part of the fun of this shoot. The original artwork is from @MizhiGongfang, photography by @MaoJujueleNi, and the costume was provided by @VectorRuins; thanks to the whole team for their collaboration. The vintage Chinese wooden furniture background and warm indoor lantern light and shadow nicely balanced the modern street style of the outfit, adding a touch of serene ambiance. As a cosplayer, being able to wear a costume with such well-crafted design and feeling the process of a character transitioning from 2D to 3D is deeply fulfilling in Coser daily life. This was a very pleasant shooting experience, freezing that casual and composed side of the character at the moment of closing my eyes.
