This shoot attempts to capture the quiet serenity of Genshin Impact Skirk cosplay using cool blue and white tones. True to the phrase "the starry sea is silent, collapse occurs soundlessly," I really wanted to convey through the camera the solitary grandeur and solemn aura belonging to the Abyss. Because the costume itself features very sleek lines, to preserve the character's cold and aloof quality, the overall makeup deliberately deepened facial contour shadows. Meanwhile, pairing the silver-white wig with blue-black hair accessories creates a natural gradient effect under the lighting. In terms of costume design, the top features asymmetrical off-the-shoulder and cut-out geometric designs. The blue-black straps required repeated adjustments to fit closely and reveal distinct layering, while the small golden bow accent brightens the visuals amid the cool tones. This kind of wide neckline and layered skirt cut places high demands on standing posture; the shoulders and neck must remain stretched and relaxed to support the weight and presence of the entire outfit. On the arms are independent sleeves with a gradient of blue and purple that fit snugly against the skin, creating a wonderful illusion in this setting as if the body and weapon merge into one.

The polearm weapon prop held in my hands was a crucial component of this shoot. The physical item had a satisfying weight, and when rotated in hand, its sharp, streamlined edges and ribbons naturally swept out elegant curves. During this process, I paid special attention to the holding angle of the weapon so that it wouldn't block the intricate design on the chest while making the weapon feel like an extension of my body. For the lower body, tights with irregular tie-dye patterns were paired with deep blue high-heeled ankle boots, effectively lengthening proportions and enhancing presence when standing. The set chosen this time featured a highly reflective floor, complemented by deep blue drapes hung all around, a white birdcage on the left, and carved railings on the right, bathing the entire space in an ethereal dark blue. The studio's cool light shone directly down, and reflections on the floor enriched the layers of the composition, echoing that deep feeling of soundless destruction mentioned in the description.

During the actual shooting process, we tried two different states. In the first image, I stood fully upright with one hand raised, deliberately maintaining a cold yet composed gaze to shape a commanding presence; the second image showed me slightly leaning forward, looking down intently at the weapon in my hand, presenting a quieter and more introverted mood, as if contemplating my destiny alone in the abyss. This sense of contrast is also a captivating aspect of her character design. To achieve the best effect in front of the camera, beyond controlling posture and expression, even my breathing frequency had to sync with the shutter. Every adjustment before freezing a frame felt like battling with the reflections on the glossy floor. While maintaining a sense of coolness, I couldn't appear overly stiff—there could be no unnecessary frowning or tension. The skirt had to spread out to just the right angle to avoid messy cloth folds. And at the moment of looking down at the weapon, the softness of the blush neutralized part of the sharpness, lending the character a touch of human vulnerability. The studio temperature during this shoot felt quite chilly due to the cold-toned lights, but it was precisely this physical low temperature that aligned so closely with the character's Abyss lore, allowing an effortless aura of cool detachment to naturally flow into the final photos. The ultimate goal of this shoot was to express dynamic tension and abyssal solitude within static images, achieving a final visual balance through the sheen of costume fabrics and the somber chill of the background.
