On October 1 and 2, I will be heading to the Asian Winter Games Hall at the Harbin International Convention and Exhibition Center for the H-ACG convention (Harbin anime convention) featuring Yao Guang cosplay—everyone is welcome to drop by and hang out! I am thrilled to participate as an official Lucky Koi Experience Officer for this event. In this role, I won't just be stationed at the booth for fan interactions; I will also be strolling through the venue halls, so feel free to catch me for candid encounters anytime.
To prepare for this convention, I invested considerable time into Doll-like makeup and styling. Yao Guang's overall aesthetic blends Japanese style cosplay with mythical fantasy elements. To accentuate an exquisite, doll-like porcelain presence (Doll-like makeup and styling), I specifically chose striking blue contact lenses and dedicated immense effort to base makeup—using long-wear foundation paired with setting spray to guarantee my makeup stays flawless all day in a venue as vast as the Asian Winter Games Hall. The wig was meticulously trimmed and styled, especially the curvature of the blunt bangs, ensuring they frame the face seamlessly. The headdress features an oversized navy bow and white feathers, accented by pink ornamental cords on both sides. The plush faux-fur capelet is the soul of this attire; paired with the blue-and-white flowing skirt and metallic gold embroidery, it catches exhibition lighting with luminous depth. The cherry blossom sprigs adorning the bodice feel remarkably authentic, revealing delicate textural layers under shifting light.
Harbin's October weather turns quite chilly, and the Asian Winter Games Hall within the convention center is colossal, spanning 12,000 square meters. While walking keeps you warm, this thick, plush capelet proves exceptionally practical during breaks, maintaining core body heat so posing for extended stretches won't leave you shivering. If you want to maintain peak condition at an anime convention, keeping warm and staying hydrated are essential.
As for convention tips, HACG 14.0 runs from October 1 to 2 at the Asian Winter Games Hall of the Harbin International Convention and Exhibition Center. The floor space is remarkably vast, packed with numerous artist booths and stages, so definitely keep an eye out for official brand activations. I will also be posting videos on Douyin to participate in the Lucky Koi Experience Officer campaign to compete for free-entry perks, and everyone is welcome to try their hand as well. Please refer to official HACG releases for exact event guidelines.
For this portrayal of Yao Guang cosplay, I incorporated graceful hand gestures into prop handling and posing. The nail art featured in the photos was given custom detailing to contrast nicely against the cool overall tones. If anyone wants a souvenir photo together on site, please feel free to approach me anytime. Since I'm wearing a long gown with a plush capelet, I won't be moving very fast—if you spot me, just give me a gentle tap on the shoulder or call out Xiaoyin! I can't wait to chat about makeup techniques or browse vendor booths together at the H-ACG convention. May everyone have a blast at the Harbin anime convention, snag all your favorite merchandise, and cross paths with the people you look forward to seeing. Wishing you a wonderful National Day holiday at the Asian Winter Games Hall!
