[Xiao Wu cosplay] Soul Land Resurrected Form Fitting Log

This set of fitting photos was actually casually shot in my bedroom at home without elaborate set dressing, focusing on authentically showing the process from hanger display to wearing it in person. The original post mentioned a 1.83-meter giant bunny and power-type character; indeed, when trying on this resurrected form costume from Soul Land for Xiao Wu cosplay, the biggest challenge was height. Floor-length Xianxia style gown designs, combined with a long black hair wig nearly reaching the ankles, place extremely demanding requirements on height—a bit shorter, and the dress might drag heavily, but for my 1.83-meter frame, wearing it unexpectedly matched the character's original tall, slender, and airy feel, even giving a subtle illusion that the dress wasn't long enough.

Let's first look at the still-life display on the hanger. This outfit is based on a white and pink gradient, paired with numerous silver metallic-textured accessories. The chest and waist carry a strong armor feel, capturing the essence of the Soul Land fantasy system rather than being just a light, airy skirt. The silver pointed design on the abdomen and the pink curved patterns on the skirt hem add a gorgeous, cool temperament on top of the original Soft-Bone Rabbit design. Hanging the wig and costume together on the hanger that day felt completely like waiting to go live.

Next, let's talk about the mirror selfies in Photo 2 and Photo 3. The wig is truly the soul of this styling. I wore a long black wig with a single high ponytail, its length flush with the skirt hem, cascading down like a waterfall. During the Cosplay fitting, the visual center of the overall look instantly gained an impressive aura thanks to the wig, which explains why the original post added the description of a power-type character. While posing in front of the mirror, because the hair was so heavy and long, it easily pulled on my scalp, and I had to be extremely careful not to scratch the hard silver accessories on the outfit.

The "apologies for everything" mentioned in the post was somewhat humorous, but also reflected my genuine feedback on this fitting. After all, faithfully portraying a classic character from Chinese anime cosplay with deep nostalgic memories brings undeniable pressure. From static hanging on a rack to putting it on and finding angles before the mirror, this process itself is a homage to the character. While I cannot guarantee replicating that lively vitality from the animation that satisfies everyone's expectations, I tried my best to achieve outfit fitting compatibility. For example, the translucent sheer fabric of the skirt hem features pleats and gradients, which required careful handling when taking it off on the bed to avoid crushing its shape.

Long dress styles like this have a realistic pain point: sitting down and bending over are extremely inconvenient. To shoot these two more natural full-body photos, I adjusted my stance before the bedroom window several times. I originally wanted to take poses showcasing the character's commanding presence, but noticed in the full-length mirror that moving even slightly creased the skirt easily, and silver accessories looked messy under reflections. In such a restricted environment, I ultimately found this natural standing pose with a slightly raised hand looked best, showing off silver decoration details on the chest while highlighting tall waist proportions.

Indeed, indoor lighting and pure mirror selfies cannot compare to outdoor photography, but I believe this recording method is actually more authentic. From receiving the costume, unboxing, hanging it up, to wearing it, the whole process is a real life snippet as a cosplayer. Although this fitting took place in a bedroom without professional lighting to accentuate the texture of silver components or an outdoor setting to let the skirt flutter, standing before the mirror with the wig on made me feel the outfit's design was truly impressive. After fixing inner wear and smoothing the ponytail, while there's still a bit of distance from a truly powerful aura, I've done my best regarding body figure and costume fit compatibility.
