Centered around the concept of "Atop the high tower, there is only a false god," this Identity V Eclipse Night Watch cosplay photoshoot was completed. The focus of the makeup and styling this time lies in that desolate yet high-and-mighty trait, especially the embellishment of the eye makeup and red contacts, combined with the fine white braided hair and the black, gold, and red costume, creating a very strong overall visual contrast. The black fur collar on the costume, the sharp spiked crown, as well as the metal chains and magnificent ornaments on the body, were actually very heavy to wear, taking a lot of effort to put on and adjust poses. However, we specifically made many backup plans for this outfit before the shoot. Coordinated with the precise lighting of the venue, the contrast between highlights and deep shadows was just right, beautifully bringing out the texture of these materials.

The glass of red wine in the photos was actually a source of inspiration; I intentionally chose a deep red liquid to echo the luster of the ruby on my chest under the refraction of light and shadow. When interpreting this character, I wanted to emphasize the alienation and confusion of a "false god," so I deliberately toned down the overt coldness originally belonging to the Night Watch in my demeanor, adding more contemplation and loneliness instead. Especially the action of lightly touching the fingertips in Figure 5 is my own concrete expression of the character's mental state. For the set in Figure 4 where I lie on the floor tiles, we arranged iron chains and dark petals, hoping to complete a slice of this character's life atop the high tower through environmental narrative—seemingly noble but actually bound. To be honest, this shoot took about a week or so, from the preparation of costumes and props to the adjustment of post-processing light and shadow. But this is exactly what I enjoy most about cosplay, fully bringing a 2D character to life through the lens. As a part of my creation for the Fan Content Festival, I hope everyone can immerse themselves in this dark atmosphere and enjoy this set of photos.
