[Furina cosplay] Genshin Impact Angel Furina Descends: Chronicling a Dreamlike Church Photoshoot

This project features a doujin derivative concept of Furina from Genshin Impact—the descent of Angel Furina. The overarching creative vision centered on sacred purity and ethereal grace. For the wig, I selected a white-to-blue gradient short bob; to craft that airy, manga-like volume and natural hair texture, the stylist spent substantial time backcombing and locking each section layer by layer. The crescent moon headpiece and azure feather accents on the crown served as the visual focal points, accompanied by gilded vine tassels that swayed subtly with every step. The sapphire gemstone choker around the neck resonated with the strappy bodice construction, while the bespoke white feathered angel wings affixed to my back—though lightweight—tested the structural load-bearing capacity of the dress during mounting.

Wardrobe-wise, it is an ornate dress transitioning through blue and white gradients. The upper silhouette is structured around a white camisole corset, anchored by a prominent azure bow at the waist as the visual nucleus. The bottom features a tiered, crisply pleated mini skirt softly shifting from pristine white to sky blue, trailing a floor-length layer of translucent azure sheer tulle behind. While silver glitter pumps were initially prepared to match the attire, I realized during shooting that posing barefoot accentuated an immaculate, unblemished aura even more effectively, leading us to shoot several sequences completely barefoot. The white bell-shaped detached sleeves were embellished with ornate gilded openwork hardware, delivering rich textural complexity.

The location was an interior church set framed by stained-glass arched windows. We were blessed with wonderful natural light that day; sunlight filtered through the stained glass and cast organic chromatic pools across the white Roman columns and floor tiles. For props, we prepared white doves and blue-and-white floral bouquets. In the first shot, to exhibit the skirt's tiered volume and leg contours, I tested various seated angles atop the stone dais, eventually settling on a crossed-leg arrangement that yielded the most flattering proportions on camera. Intermediate poses kneeling on the floor cradling flowers or lifting the white dove were designed to embody the serene, sacred essence inherent to an angelic being.

The most challenging hurdle was managing the structural integrity of the wings and trailing train; both easily shifted or creased when shifting between walking and sitting, requiring an assistant on standby to constantly reset them. The tips of the wig also tended to snag, necessitating gentle comb-throughs with every pose reset. The makeup remained understated, directing emphasis toward luminous glitter across the eye makeup; to complement the blue iris hue, I auditioned multiple lens brands before finding the exact matching tint. This doujin garment design seamlessly wove the character's hydro affinity into an angelic motif; the fabric produced a faint sheen under the strobes, rendering the blue gradient layers exceptionally luminous on camera.

Looking back across the session, despite the taxing pose transitions, the finished aesthetic exuded an extraordinary mood. My personal favorite remains the take seated on the dais holding the bouquet, where the gaze connected naturally with the lens. I truly hope this ethereal aura resonates with everyone.
