Putting together these photos for Priestess cosplay actually took a lot of thought regarding makeup, styling, and poses. The aspect of this look that attracted me most was the pair of massive dark horns and the gemstone details on the crown. When preparing the wig, to make the long red braid look more natural, I not only gave the ends a second trim but also used styling products to set the curve of the side braids, ensuring they wouldn't look stiff on camera. Securing the headpiece was another challenge; the horns were quite heavy and required combining hidden hairpins and support frames with the main wig structure so they wouldn't tilt during movement.

Costume-wise, the purplish-red hooded short cape features an outstanding color scheme. The puffiness of the sleeves is just right, subtly bringing out a fantasy atmosphere. The black inner romper adopts a high-slit design, where pink faux-stitching details along the edges serve as a clever accent, which, paired with the gold waist chain, visually elongates body proportions. To make the drape and layering look appealing even in static shots, the photographer and I repeatedly adjusted the positions of the sleeves and hem before shooting, trying our best to avoid bunched-up wrinkles. The hollowed-out disc prop emits a mysterious aura; to avoid blocking my face while holding it, the hand angle and shoulder relaxation required numerous trials.

The first photo features a standing pose looking back over the shoulder, an angle that really tests one's balance. To maintain stability in clear chunky heels while still showing off leg lines, I subtly adjusted my hip tilt. Gazing directly into the camera keeps my look deep and intense, which, combined with the dark-toned overhead lighting, brings out the overall mysterious mood.

The second photo showcases a kneeling pose on both knees, opting for a one-handed display of the prop. In this pose, I needed to shift my center of gravity sideways so the black skirt hem naturally parted, highlighting the lines created by the high-slit design. Finding this angle, the photographer particularly stressed keeping my gaze level forward and maintaining a straight back to avoid looking fatigued. This angle balances the costume presentation and prop display nicely, giving the overall composition a more relaxed feel.

The lighting conditions in the studio photoshoot setting were actually quite good; the dark background accentuated the pops of purplish-red and gold. The floor's reflection caught the silhouette of the clear soles just right, adding a visual impact where modern technology meets fantasy elements. To completely fit the character's persona, I avoided overly rigid lines in pose design, aiming for smooth, soft curves with my limbs to convey a sense of effortless mastery.

In selecting the photos for this shoot, I chose these two: one standing with maximum tension across the entire body, and one kneeling with a softer touch, creating a striking visual contrast. Through these detail adjustments, the mysterious and narrative-driven side of the character comes to life. Loving cosplay is really about enjoying this entire journey from preparation to completion—every shoot lets me experience the charm inherent to the character. The external lighting here delivered a crisp, clean visual outcome that met my expectations for convention photos quality. Regarding character presentation and prop texture, I also discussed with the photographer on-site how light interacts with translucent materials; the final lighting atmosphere suits the tone of this outfit wonderfully. I've always felt that doing good cosplay isn't just about putting on clothes, but more importantly, aligning posture and expressions. I strived to capture that alignment visually this time. Though exhausting, seeing the final rendered imagery through the lens makes all the sweat and effort entirely worthwhile. I hope this set conveys the unique aura of space and mysticism belonging to this character.
