This gorgeous modified makeup for Dolia went through several versions of adjustments before being finalized. The base makeup is the foundation of the entire look; especially for makeup like this that requires painting a lot of water elements and applying pearls on the face, if the base isn't clean, subsequent additions will look muddy. I chose a long-wear foundation, patted it on little by little with a dampened makeup sponge, focused on concealing under the eyes and around the nose, and finally set it with translucent setting powder to ensure the face stays fresh.
The eye makeup part is an absolute focal point. To fit the character's temperament, I wore bright blue contact lenses to make the eyes look clearer. For the eyeshadow, I chose an orange-pink tone for a large-area base, and slightly deepened the eye sockets with a dark shade to increase depth. To achieve a better magnifying effect in front of the lens, both upper and lower false eyelashes were chosen to be relatively dense styles. When applying them, you need to adjust the angle bit by bit starting from the inner corner of the eye, and the lower eyelashes must also be glued one by one, without rushing. Glitter was dotted from the inner corner to the middle of the eye, creating a sparkling effect when blinking.
To highlight the features of the gorgeous modification, I deliberately added many clever touches to the face. The blue eyebrows were painted with dedicated body paint; to ensure color payoff, I first covered the original brow color with concealer, painted along the hair growth direction, and softened the edges so it wouldn't look too rigid. The water ripple and petal patterns on both sides of the cheeks were outlined bit by bit with an ultra-fine brush, which has a very high demand for brush control. Applying those pearls and rhinestones also took a lot of effort; the glue shouldn't be too much to avoid overflow, and they were arranged according to the undulations of facial bone structures to look scattered and natural.
In terms of clothing, it's a bright yellow top with a black ribbed collar, creating a strong color contrast. A light-colored mesh headband was worn on the head, coupled with the blocking of a cat prop, giving the overall style a dreamy and cute vibe. For the lips, a peach-colored lip gloss with fine shimmer was chosen, with the edges slightly blurred so it doesn't steal the spotlight from the eye makeup while maintaining a hydrated feel. The entire makeup took nearly three hours from base to completion. Although it was very energy-consuming, the color contrast effect of blue and yellow under the lighting is extremely photogenic, making all these tedious detail processings totally worth it.
