Considerable craftsmanship went into the textural paneling of this Jsspsi cosplay costume: a black-and-white leather chestplate paired with a white-based, blue-bordered dress, whose intricate nuances demand rigorous maintenance. To faithfully recreate the character silhouette, the elf ears and deer antler headdress were of paramount importance. To ensure organic naturalness on camera, we tested mounting methods and wearing angles repeatedly, as the branch-like antlers coupled with pointed ears needed to remain visually stable from every perspective. The wig's bangs and inward-curled ends were custom-teased and set; combined with its mint-green hue, its dimensional layering popped with enhanced depth under natural sunlight.

Ambient temperatures were delightfully mild on the day of the shoot, with dappled sunlight filtering through the canopy to vividly illuminate the ink-smoke vapor effects surrounding the prop butterfly. To match the moment where the butterfly alights, arm posture had to be held exceptionally steady with an exact gaze focus; while the VFX elements were added in post-production, on-set physical spacing and directional sightlines were vital. The blue-gray gloves and gold-tasseled beaded bracelets along the wrists tended to tangle when raising my hands, requiring periodic straightening, yet their tactile texture in the final shots looked undeniably stunning.

The outdoor location was set beside a traditional pavilion flanked by wooden railings and flying eaves, with lotus leaves and lush trees in the backdrop serving as an organic canvas. Pairing white stockings with the overall silhouette allowed for effortless, natural movement, while the combination of a miniskirt and over-the-knee stockings visually elongated the body's proportions. Photographer Hyouame provided generous compositional breathing room, using wide apertures to melt busy foliage into soft bokeh and anchoring visual focus squarely onto character styling. Retouching is currently progressing at a deliberate pace, prioritizing smooth lighting roll-offs and authentic skin texture to enhance luminosity without distorting the original color palette.

During shooting, numerous kinetic moments demanded candid capture, such as gusts of wind fluttering the sleeve hems. For garments blending light oriental or fantasy aesthetics, natural drape is essential, so I paid close attention to the sweeping arc of the skirt while walking. Makeup-wise, given the prominence of the elf ears, I utilized a translucent blue eye makeup palette to harmonize with the contact lens color without overpowering facial features, finishing with an understated natural pink lip. Retouching is an exacting process that requires balancing organic illumination while seamlessly integrating prop VFX. Since the overarching lore of Arknights: Endfield leans toward post-apocalyptic sci-fi while this Danqing Ferry skin incorporates eastern oriental fusion, I sought a physical poise combining weightless buoyancy with underlying strength. For instance, in the shot cradling the butterfly, the wrist engaged while fingertips remained relaxed, paired with a serene, contemplative gaze. The wooden railings on set provided an excellent physical brace, making body leans and weight shifts feel completely effortless. The entire shoot was a relentless exercise in refining micro-details—from eyelet cord lacing to prop grip angles, every single step demanded patience. Slow and steady yields the finest craft, and I hope the completed photoset allows everyone to feel the captivating charm of this ensemble.
