[Nahida Cosplay] Custom design cosplay minor Chinese-style modification fruit fly perspective record - Image 1

Today I tried using the Insta360 GO Ultra to record this set of Nahida Cosplay custom design cosplay minor Chinese-style modification styling. The lens is directly shoved in front of the face, presenting the fruit fly perspective you see. To match this extremely exaggerated high-angle overhead shooting, I specially designed this lowering-head and closing-eyes action. The lens enlarges the proportion of the head while shrinking the body, creating a very peculiar visual distortion sense.

First, let's talk about the makeup and hairstyle this time. To fit Nahida's setup, I chose a silver-white short wig with bright green gradient highlights at the ends. Two large white flowers were pinned between the hair, surrounded by a vine headband with small white flowers and green leaves. The wig needs a lot of styling in advance, especially the bangs part, to make it look fluffy and layered. For the eye makeup, because it was all closed eyes or lowered sight throughout, I focused on increasing the thickness of the eyelashes and the blending at the end of the eyes, and used a reddish color for the lips to brighten the complexion of the entire face.

On the clothing side, this custom design cosplay minor Chinese-style modification version chose a light green dress. There are a large number of lace, ruffles, and bow decorations on the clothes. The front of the chest is a cross design with thin straps, matched with a light green ribbon bow. Because the overall color tone is fresh mint green, lightweight materials with a bit of transparency were used in fabric selection, with complex lace patterns overlaid on the outer layer. Wearing it is actually somewhat complex, requiring time to arrange the straps in the back and the layers of the skirt hem.

The shooting environment was in an indoor shop with an obvious wooden style, where wooden cabinets and coffee utensils can be seen in the background. Because an ultra-wide-angle or panoramic lens was used, some slight stretching distortion will appear at the edges of the frame. For example, the friend wearing a white shirt on the left and the legs of a passerby on the right are both pulled into the edge of the frame, forming a scene sense with a touch of daily life atmosphere, creating a wonderful collision with the originally anime-leaning attire.

Regarding the apology for OOC mentioned in the text, actually every time I do custom design cosplay and minor modifications, I face this kind of worry. Because the character's original setting might not be this clothing style, but as a cosper, sometimes I just want to try placing the character in different outfit settings to explore different visual effects. The idea of minor Chinese-style modification is to integrate favorite clothing styles while retaining the core features of the character (such as color tone, hair color, signature accessories). This process requires repeated adjustments and matching; it cannot completely detach from the character's existing visual impression while also incorporating personal aesthetic preferences.

During shooting, because the lens was very close to the face, it was actually hard to control expressions; a slight lack of attention would make it look very strange. To capture this fruit fly perspective atmosphere, I tried different angles back and forth several times. When lowering the head, I had to pay attention not to get a double chin, and when closing the eyes, the eye makeup had to withstand close-ups, while also taking into account the position of the headpiece flowers so they wouldn't completely block the face. This is much more tiring than shooting from a normal perspective, requiring constant minor adjustments to the neck angle.

Although the entire shooting process was a bit troublesome, seeing the effect of the final photos, I feel that this perspective attempt is quite interesting. It breaks the usual routine eye-level or low-angle compositions, giving people a novel visual experience. Most of the light and shadow in the photos are natural diffuse reflection light in the environment, without using strong flashes, which can better preserve the texture of the clothes and wig. Alright, today's shooting record stops here for now, and I should also go untangle these complex accessories piece by piece and pack them up.
