This time, I designed a pink Anime maid outfit as a custom setting for Panty. Choosing this style was mainly to explore the innate contrast between sweetness and danger in the character's personality. After all, she is inherently a character with a very strong personality; holding a gun naturally conflicts with this outfit, so I paired her with a pink off-the-shoulder lace top and mini skirt, along with white Fishnet stockings and platform shoes.
This combination really tests the use of props. The metallic texture of the silver revolver effectively balances out the gentleness of the pink palette, while the blonde high ponytail wig also brightens the overall visual. During the shoot, to stay sexy without looking too deliberate, I spent a lot of thought adjusting poses. Standing like in the first photo, holding the gun sideways, visually elongates the leg length and accentuates the waistline.
The post-processing concept mainly focused on elongating limb proportions and adjusting skin tone. Since the background is solid pink, post-production needed to brighten the subject, increasing the body's three-dimensionality and glow. For facial retouching, special emphasis was placed on eye makeup, using large eye makeup to highlight a cute look while keeping a teasing gaze to match the iconic line, "Will you be my thousandth?"
Regarding that line, I personally find Panty's attitude truly captivating. A bit arrogant, a bit domineering, yet with an irresistible allure—that is precisely where this character's charm lies. As a Custom design cosplay, although it breaks the original setting, I hope this reinterpretation allows everyone to see the possibilities of the character wearing different styles.
In terms of makeup, pink blush and eyeshadow paired with blue contact lenses better match the pink outfit. The facial highlights and contouring were also applied somewhat heavily to create an exquisite doll-like texture. After completing this photoshoot, to be honest, I really enjoyed this attempt at drastically revamping the original design. The flesh-hugging effect of the Fishnet stockings, the design of the thigh garters, and the elongation from the high heels—though trivial, these details truly bring ideal results in post-processing.
For this set of photos, I specifically gathered many reference pictures to study how to capture that sweet yet naughty vibe in an Anime maid outfit. I must say, pink really tests skin tone; when applying makeup, extra attention must be paid to the evenness of the foundation, ensuring the pink blush looks natural without appearing overly tacky. I also practiced holding the prop gun for a long time to make it look both proficient and aesthetically pleasing. Because it was shot in front of a solid color background, movements had to be bold to look great. That's why you see me bending over or posing sideways—all to maximize the display of costume details and body curves.
During the shoot, I also had to be careful to avoid strong direct light causing reflections on the Fishnet stockings; all of this was fine-tuned step by step. Although the process was somewhat tedious, being able to perfectly present this custom style left me very satisfied. Looking at the entire photoshoot, compared to the authentic original character, a Custom design cosplay truly brings a completely different feeling.
