For this convention, I chose a Nahida variant outfit that combines bunny ears and maid elements. Compared to the flowing nature of the original Dendro Archon, this green ruffled miniskirt and puff sleeves lean more toward a sweet style, though her iconic elemental symbol is preserved on the chest, making it a balanced attempt at a fan creation. The bunny ears are hand-customized from plush material with wire support inside, allowing them to be adjusted to the right angle, but wearing them for a long time presses a bit on the top of my head, so I took them off to rest during shooting breaks.
For the wig, I selected silver-white layered with mint green gradient hair extensions, which look beautifully textured, but the frizzy stray hairs needed to be reinforced with styling spray several times on-site; otherwise, the fans in the exhibition hall could easily blow them out of place. The focus of the makeup was placed on the eyes, using light green eyeshadow smudged under the eyes. Combined with the pointed elf ear prosthetics, this brought the overall temperament closer to the wisdom of the original character, while the blush was kept more pink and tender to blend in the cuteness of the bunny maid elements.
During the shoot, this black cylindrical platform prop was just the right height; when sitting, the skirt hem naturally spread out to reveal the lace lining and white ruffled socks. Paired with glossy black patent leather loafers, the overall green, white, and black color palette looked very clean. The lighting on-site was quite complex, with strong cool light overhead and softboxes on the side, so I had to slightly adjust the direction my face was facing to avoid overexposure or heavy shadows.
Although this modified look isn't a 100% replica of the original art, it is highly interactive at conventions. Many passersby found it refreshing, and some fellow fans even asked where to buy the wig and ear accessories, which adds to the fun of extending a character. Every time I wear this kind of dress with a puffy skirt hem, I have to be careful walking around the hall not to trip over railings or steps, but the resulting photos are definitely worth it. When sorting through these photos, I deliberately chose the two with the most comfortable atmosphere. The background blur preserved the industrial-style beams of the hall and the blurred silhouettes of pedestrians, which conversely made the main subject pop out even more. After the shoot, the bottom of the skirt was a bit wrinkled and needed to be re-ironed at home, but being able to record such a bright and relaxed state is the happiest part of the convention for me through this Anime cosplay entry.
