[Fujisaki Nagihiko cosplay] Shugo Chara!: Refreshing Boyish Charm

Posting a set of previously shot backlog photos just in time for Fujisaki Nagihiko's birthday. This is Fujisaki Nagihiko from Shugo Chara!, with the overall hair, makeup, and styling leaning toward a refreshing, everyday direction for this Casual photoshoot.

Styling this Purple wig actually took quite some time because I wanted that natural, smooth drape without looking artificial. The bangs in particular were trimmed repeatedly to achieve an ideal curve. I paired it with large-diameter brown contacts, which made my gaze appear much softer upon wearing, fitting this character wonderfully. The base foundation was kept clean and matte, avoiding overly dramatic facial expressions to deliberately capture a calm, focused gaze that radiates a cool yet gentle texture through this Boyish makeup look.

For clothing, I chose a light blue T-shirt, feeling this casual vibe suited the character better, casually draping white over-ear headphones around my neck as a prop to add effortless spontaneity and visual depth to the framing. Looking across the whole set, my favorite aspect was the lighting: light streaming from the side showcased the Purple wig's color and translucency exceptionally well. Post-processing avoided exaggerated adjustments, mainly preserving genuine skin texture to keep everything looking natural.

During the shoot, I discussed angles extensively with the photographer—like tilting my face slightly to define the jawline better, and focusing my gaze just in front of the lens when lifting my chin. We shot for about two hours, discarding hundreds of outtakes, mostly due to misplaced eye focus or awkward fabric folds. Only through relentless adjustments did we attain this satisfying set of finished shots.

Honestly, wearing large-diameter contacts for an extended period left my eyes slightly dry, but doing justice to the character made it completely worthwhile. Moreover, getting into character while wearing headphones felt as relaxing as listening to music. Right as the session wrapped, we caught the exact lighting we wanted—a truly wonderful surprise. Though these backlog photos sat for a while, looking at them always brings back the joy and fulfillment of that day. For anyone who loves this character, being able to approach his essence through personal hair and makeup is pure bliss. When retouching, I deliberately kept the tiny embroidery details on the shirt to preserve tactile texture. This photo set records my love for the character, alongside my condition and emotions during the shoot.

This time focused primarily on makeup translucency and overall atmosphere recreation; the casual headphone vibe of this Casual photoshoot worked wonderfully to highlight that side of the character. After trying a few styles, I realized this simple, understated coordination best represented the image in my heart.
