This set of edited convention photos originates from on-site records at the CD30 convention. Big thanks to photographer @Yakumo for capturing the snapshots that day; ambient lighting inside the hall was actually much messier than expected, but with precise snapshots and lens synergy, the final photos turned out surprisingly clean. Attempting this classic character look for the first time, to faithfully restore her setting, I chose a light pink wig and specifically styled that cowlick on top. White mechanical-style hair ornaments on both sides, alongside a black choker with a hanging pendant chain around my neck, caught many eyes at the exhibition venue. The light blue zippered jacket paired with a white-and-blue trimmed low-cut top offered soft, refreshing colors overall; although the pale pink feathered wings on my back were somewhat heavy, I persevered wearing them all day for the sake of the photo atmosphere. The lower body was paired with a dark blue denim miniskirt and mid-heeled sandals in a matching tone, blending everyday comfort seamlessly with the character's original design in this Pink hair cosplay.
For this shoot, I prepared an eye-catching prop—a green and black striped orb whose texture somewhat resembled a glowing watermelon. Interacting with the photographer, I used it to attempt handing actions, balancing it on my head, and squatting down to touch it with a single finger. These dynamic poses kept the photo set from looking stiff, injecting a playful charm. Post-processing was mostly handled independently by myself. The overall color grading logic leaned toward clean, translucent tones, minimizing distractions from messy convention lighting. To highlight the hair color, I deliberately retained high saturation for the pink hair while darkening the background, giving the frame excellent spatial depth. Eye details were also meticulously processed, making my gaze appear more focused and pure.
The venue of CD30 was huge with dense foot traffic, yet on-site order was great. Shuttle-walking through the exhibition hall in this gear and footwear all day drained physical stamina significantly, especially on feet in heel sandals, but meeting fans who love Heaven's Lost Property and sharing shooting joy with them completely wiped away that fatigue with deep fulfillment. For Ikaros, that innocence and bravery have always been traits I adore. Cosplaying Ikaros this time was both a dream-fulfilling journey of love and an unforgettable offline convention memory in this Roleplay endeavor.
