This time, the focus of the shoot is on the Grinning Professor from Blue Archive. Having prepared plenty of vintage props that fit the character's traits, I arranged this studio shoot filled with an academic vibe.

The core of the entire look lies in that black sailor suit uniform. The deep black fabric paired with white stripes on the collar edge visually outlines clear contours. The most eye-catching part is definitely the large red bow on the chest, which, along with the gold circular badge, neutralizes the dullness of the overall black and white, becoming the visual focus of the entire body. This design itself perfectly fits the slightly mysterious yet elegant atmosphere of the character's identity. To achieve better character accuracy, I paired it with a black beret and styled the light blonde long hair with voluminous layers and clear hair flows, revealing the face while preserving some lazy and casual temperament.

A lot of effort went into building the shooting scene. The venue was arranged with an old-school library vibe, featuring stacked heavy hardcover books, a vintage globe, brass candlesticks, and an old grandfather clock to construct a sense of story. In the first two sets of sitting poses, I chose to sit on a reflective black surface, holding a custom-made classical patterned teacup and saucer to create the leisure of enjoying afternoon tea. This perspective showcases the opaque black tights on my legs and the white trim of the skirt hem beautifully, presenting a classic collision of black, white, and red in visual color. Especially in Figure 1, although the pose is simple, the slight side-glance of the eyes works with the lighting to naturally project the teacher-staff temperament that carries a hint of cunning and depth inherent to the character itself.

The third image switches to a standing pose, adding a long black trench coat over the outfit, with accessories swapped for black-and-white pieced high-top lace-up boots while holding a black carved cane. The standing pose is much more stretched out compared to sitting; I slightly raised one leg to present a playful yet casual snapshot, creating an impression that faculty members are not rigidly serious but naturally possess a calm, confident, and independent personality. The hem of the trench coat overlaps with the skirt hem, visually elongating the body proportions. The black-and-gold Egyptian-style cat statue placed nearby also adds exotic mystery elements to the frame; though the cat does not participate in the interaction, it beautifully fills the empty background space, making the overall composition more stable and full.

In terms of retouching, I intentionally preserved a portion of the dark areas without over-brightening, wanting to safeguard that vintage and profound indoor light-and-shadow relationship. In this dark-toned atmosphere, the character's blonde hair and green eyes become more striking, allowing the audience to catch the key focus at first glance. The props echo one another: books and the globe represent teaching and erudition, while cups and candlesticks represent life's texture; these surface elements cooperate with the unique title of Grinning Professor to form an interesting styling loop. Compared to daily cosplay releases, this shoot is more like restoring a corner of a teaching plan hidden in time, attempting to use simple props to construct a multi-dimensional space for unbridled imagination.

Although the process was more tedious than expected, requiring repeated confirmations for setting the scene and adjusting angles, the final finished photos matched the initial conception perfectly. Especially the layered combination of black tights, uniform, and trench coat allows the character's outline to not only exist in the 2D flat portrait but also have a more three-dimensional and realistic projection in 3D Anime-style photography.
