[Doma Umaru cosplay] Red Cap and Over-the-knee socks for Convenience Store Routine: Lawn Shoot Experience Share

When shooting this Doma Umaru UMR look, the focus was on capturing the character's state when shopping and hanging out in a convenience store. Pre-production mainly involved verifying costume details. For the badge on the red beret, pockets on the red zippered jacket, and buckles and straps of the black backpack, I selected fabrics and designs as faithful to the original as possible. Paired with black shorts and black Over-the-knee socks, the elasticity and length of the Stockings were adjusted for a long time during wearing to ensure natural lines when squatting, sitting, or walking. The Blonde hair wig's bangs and sideburns were pre-trimmed so the hair would frame my face closely. For makeup, large-diameter circle contact lenses and three coats of mascara were applied, with eyeliner elongating the outer eye corners to create rounded eyes characteristic of Umaru. On the shooting day, we first headed to a convenience store; using the snack shelves as a backdrop immediately brought out the feel of her buying treats. Afterwards, we moved outdoors to the lawn, where the row of red fences proved very photogenic. During the shoot, we explored multi-angle compositions; especially the peace-sign sitting pose in the 2nd photo, which nicely showcased the lines of the legs and Stockings. We also tested high-angle and low-angle shots, ultimately choosing a profile angle for the cover. In addition, an ice cream prop was used; during close-up shots facing the camera, keeping the facial sweetness just right was key. The mirror selfie was shot in front of a giant red circular mirror at an amusement ride, utilizing the reflection to capture a full-body view. Every step of the shoot required striking a balance between character lore and realistic photography techniques. Since Umaru behaves completely differently at home, I deliberately infused lively, upbeat energy into my expressions and poses outdoors to highlight her外出 contrast. During retouching, focus was placed on light translucency while preserving the texture of the red clothing and black Stockings without distorting colors. The resulting photo quality was overall very high, with vivid colors and scenes matching the character's lifestyle. Ultimately, this photo set recorded my understanding of Umaru at this stage, serving as a very satisfying outdoor shoot in my personal cosplay portfolio.
