Putting on the attire of Wang Guiren, the temperament belonging to Honkai: Star Rail's Xianzhou naturally follows. This outfit interwoven with red, black, and gold is richly layered, featuring a glossy fabric outer layer and red hidden patterns underneath. It took quite a bit of effort just to put on the accessories and groom the fluffy fox ears and tails. The shoot had high requirements for lighting; the warm yellow side-backlight perfectly outlined the wig and facial contours, making the overall look appear more translucent.

Holding that folding fan with a red base and black patterns, the moment it unfolded, the design on the fan and the embroidery on the hem formed an exquisite echo. I deliberately incorporated some classical dance gestures, wanting to capture her extraordinary free-spirited nature while adding a touch of calm and unhurried charm. Although that pair of gradient fluffy big tails was eye-catching, it was actually a challenge during composition. Fortunately, the photographer was great at finding angles, perfectly balancing the weight of the tails with the lightweight posture.

The entire scene was complemented by calligraphy, paintings, and wooden furniture, making it feel as if I were truly in a quiet corner of the Xianzhou, a world apart. After this shooting session, whether it was the detail restoration or the emotional expression, it gave me a deeper understanding of Wang Guiren. I hope this set of photos brings some of that xianxia texture belonging to the story for this Honkai: Star Rail cosplay work.
