This shoot brought to life a finished cosplay photo set of Wang Zhaojun as an idol singer from Honor of Kings. To embody the ice princess transforming into a stage diva, extensive groundwork went into everything from wardrobe details to prop matching.

The design of this purple and blue color-blocked idol singer gown is exceptionally elaborate. The bodice is crafted from black leather embellished with silver rivets, finished with metallic pendants and silver chains across the bust. The multi-tiered skirt cascades into blue-and-purple geometric paneling over layers of gossamer blue tulle, trailing into a long train behind. Pinned with black ribbon bows at the hip, the ensemble is packed with intricate touches. Paired with long black gloves and over-the-knee black Stockings featuring butterfly cutout motifs, the overall silhouette strikes a flawless balance between sweet-cool attitude and stage opulence.

For head styling, long straight silvery-white hair was crowned with a flat-topped military cap accented with white and gold geometric patterns along the brim. The most eye-catching detail was the purple butterfly eyepatch worn over the right eye. In terms of makeup, purplish-red contact lenses were paired with a cool-toned yet vibrant eye look, aiming to channel the playful charm of an idol singing onstage: 'A shy debut performance, please support me!'

On the day of the shoot, I brought the star-and-moon scepter prop, topped with a crescent moon in blue, golden-black circular musical-note emblems, and tied with a dark navy ribbon bow below. To showcase varied angles of the styling, photographer Qingfeng helped choreograph diverse poses: when standing with the scepter, keeping my back straight accentuated the elegant drape of the gown; when seated, shifting weight toward the legs emphasized the layered texture of the skirt and black over-the-knee Stockings.

The location chosen was an industrial-style dimly lit space. Surrounded by raw gray concrete walls and structural pillars, it formed an intense visual contrast against the vibrant purple and blue garments. Predominantly cool-toned lighting fell across the silver-white wig and the glossy fabric surfaces, forging an ambiance that blended the frosty chill of ice and snow with the dazzling brilliance of an idol.

As a longtime player of Honor of Kings, having such a gorgeous skin for my main hero and bringing it into reality with my own hands was immensely rewarding. From fabric selection and size tailoring to wearing the wig and eyepatch before the lens, every small hurdle along the way turned into highlights in the final frames. I hope this photo set conveys the multifaceted stage allure of Wang Zhaojun's idol singer.
