For today's swimsuit Robin cosplay, my main goal was to recreate her refreshing summer beach vibe. The costume actually features plenty of intricate details: for the blue-and-white color-blocked top, I paid close attention to the piped seams, and to achieve a snug fit, I swapped a rear zipper for a criss-cross lace-up back design. This not only improved comfort but also flattered the back line. The star motifs on the fabric are custom heat-transfers with cleanly finished borders. For the skirt, to create an airy, wind-blown flutter on camera, I specifically chose a sheer blue chiffon with a subtle shimmer, layered over an opaque white underskirt. The floral waist decor was another visual highlight—I selected yellow and white artificial flowers and hot-glued them onto a detachable waistband. This enhanced dimensionality while ensuring the blooms wouldn't fall off during movement, and being detachable makes cleaning the garment effortless.

To align closely with the character design, I spent hours trimming and styling the wig. The front bangs were thinned out following the official curvature, while the ends along the sides received a soft gradient dip-dye transitioning from pale blue to light violet, shaped with a flat iron and secured with setting spray. For her signature four-pointed star hairpiece on top, I combined lightweight clay with fine craft wire, keeping it featherlight so it wouldn't deform in the gusty seaside wind. For the makeup, under the harsh outdoor sunlight, I used a lightweight, oil-controlling base, deepened the pinkish hues in the eye shadow, and paired it with bright blue circle lenses, defining the eyeliner and lashes with extra length and volume to give the gaze a lively, striking presence.

The location was set right on the beach, where the afternoon light was crystal clear. For the microphone prop in hand, three coats of gloss varnish were sprayed on to produce clean reflections outdoors. The wings were sculpted and sanded from EVA foam, while the golden lettering in the middle was laser-cut from acrylic sheets and adhered into place, with the star tips smoothed into rounded edges to avoid scratches. While shooting, sea breezes swept across just right, lifting the skirt and the blue arm ribbons, which let us catch several satisfying candid moments. While posing on the beach lounger, I crossed my legs to elongate my frame, kept my insteps pointed, and engaged my core and posture to maintain a tall, graceful silhouette.

If you're shooting swimwear outdoors, definitely apply sunscreen all over and stay hydrated. The costume was crafted from high-elasticity swimsuit fabric, making it fully water-safe, though extra care is needed to keep the props dry. Walking on sand can be cumbersome, especially since thin ankle ties pick up sand easily, so keep an eye out to prevent them from tangling. Robin always feels wonderfully elegant yet infused with a cheerful charm, so for facial expressions, I focused on gentle smiles paired with playful head tilts to reflect her relaxed vacation mood. For accessories, the necklace and bracelets couldn't be overlooked either; I chose gold pieces with star accents to echo the clothing motifs. To complement the beach setting, I also brought along a blue-and-white striped swim ring as an interactive prop, adding extra life to the composition. Overall, I'm genuinely delighted with the final results—faithfully capturing the character lore while blending naturally into the laid-back summer beach atmosphere.
