【Violet Evergarden Cosplay】Violet Evergarden: Another Day Serving as an Auto Memories Doll - Image 1

\"From now on, I, Violet Evergarden, will serve as your Auto Memories Doll.\" This line still seems to echo in my ears. Today, I finally put on this blue-and-white uniform from Violet Evergarden and shot this set of photos standing on the rocks by the water's edge.

Regarding this photo set, first are the details of the costume. For the wig, I selected a lighter shade of gold and specifically gave the sides some fluffy volume, hoping it would look closer to the character's natural hair color under natural light without feeling too stiff. The upper body features a dark blue cropped jacket with structured shoulders that nicely support the character's cool and quiet demeanor. The white ruffled trim at the collar is heavily detailed with layered folds, which, paired with the clear emerald brooch, serves as the finishing touch of the entire look. The dark brown leather belt at the waist with an antiqued round metal buckle catches the hem of the jacket perfectly, adding a clean, sharp line to the overall relaxed blue-and-white color scheme.

The lower white pleated long skirt has excellent drape; when a gentle breeze blows, the hem sways naturally, feeling lightweight without looking messy. To fit the image of an Auto Memories Doll, I specially prepared dark brown matte gloves and a rectangular brown suitcase. Once these two props were in hand, the character's professional atmosphere immediately emerged, as if I were about to sit at a desk and pick up a pen to write a letter in the next second.

The weather on shooting day was wonderful—the water surface shimmered with light, while the green foliage behind and shallow rocks by the water formed a very natural backdrop. This wild natural environment happens to fit the story background of Violet traveling everywhere and conveying emotions through letters. Under aperture bokeh, the character is highlighted very clearly; without needing exaggerated filters, clean lighting alone suffices to reveal the costume's original texture and colors.

To recreate the character's expression, I deliberately restrained the intensity of my makeup, focusing on light eyeliner and low-saturation eyeshadow to highlight the pure gaze and a subtle distant detachment. During the shoot, I tried my best to maintain an upright yet relaxed posture, holding the suitcase with both hands and turning slightly toward the camera, striving to portray that inner resilience despite her young age.

Doing Outdoor photography in this outfit usually feels a bit warm, especially under direct outdoor sunlight, but seeing those quiet, vintage visuals in the viewfinder makes all the hard work feel completely worthwhile. To capture movements closer to the character, I walked back and forth on the rocks several times while paying attention so the skirt hem wouldn't touch mud or water, keeping the edges of the pleated skirt clean.

Although it was my first time photographing this character, after communicating with the photographer, we agreed to present it in bright and soft tones—less piling up of commercial lighting effects, and more of that warm yet slightly melancholic sense of life from the original anime. Every time I play a character with such a rich backstory, I hope to convey that sincerity across the screen to everyone viewing this Cosplay sharing photo set.
