[Lucia cosplay] The Magician of Zenless Zone Zero, Industrial Style Convention Photo Sharing

The shooting of the Zenless Zone Zero Lucia convention photos at the IJOY Anime & Game Festival in February has been completed, and the overall presentation turned out great. Although the weather was still a bit cold, the industrial-style venue was indeed perfect for this character's visual style. The photos posted earlier are part of this convention photo set, and I personally feel the first full-body shot has the most complete composition, so I used it as the cover.

In fact, a lot of thought went into the details of this costume. The upper body features a deep blue-green low-cut base layer paired with a black leather vest adorned with many metal rivets and clasps as decorations. There is a matching blue-green small cape on the left shoulder, which creates a sense of fluttering when walking or turning, adding some layering to the look. The black leather choker and pendant on the neck, along with the design similar to military dog tags on the chest, all reinforce the character's mixed aura of an adventurer and a magician.

The lower body consists of black high-waisted shorts, with a large number of metal attachments on the side waist, including chains, small padlocks, and some key decorations—all very iconic elements for the character Lucia. There is a black leg ring on the thigh area, and a gray-white leg guard worn on the right leg. The shoes chosen were black thick-soled high-heeled ankle boots, which also feature some metal key-style decorations; the overall shoe shape is very stable, making it easy to run around the convention venue without getting tired.

The head styling is also displayed relatively clearly in the first and second photos. Light blue short hair with layered bangs, and the black hair accessory on top of the head is a very important part of recreating the setting. Wearing異形 pointed ear props, they are also embellished with black pendants. The green colored contacts are very crucial for the entire makeup, instantly bringing out the character's eye characteristics. Since the venue is a high-ceilinged industrial warehouse, the rows of round pendant lamps captured in the background form a very orderly bokeh effect; the lens blur looks very soft, and the character's view won't be stolen by the background.

The weapon Cosplay props paired this time were also quite heavy. The staff held in the right hand is mainly in black, gold, and copper, with a top structure resembling a combination of gears and rings, leaning overall toward a steampunk texture. The book supported by the left hand reveals a blue-and-white origami structure upon opening, carrying a sense of magic. This book and staff require a certain amount of strength in the hands; especially when shooting full-body images, the strength of the wrist is needed to lift the staff, while the body's center of gravity must remain stable, otherwise the captured actions will look floaty.

Recalling my condition on the day of the shoot, because it was in a relatively open exhibition hall, although there were many people, it was quite easy to find clean backgrounds. We specifically sought out several different angles, and the overhead lighting in one corner was perfect for shooting half-body close-ups. That close-up photo beautifully displayed the details of the makeup and hair, and also showed the piping and rivets on the edges of the vest. Since the lower body of the clothes exposed my legs, the inside of the hall in February was still freezing cold, but to capture the ideal sense of lines and character aura, I had to brave the low temperatures and complete the actions quickly. On that day, I also encountered players who recognized this character on site, and during our interactions, I found their focus was heavily concentrated on the recreation rate of the props, which made me feel that spending time on these details for this set of photos was entirely worth it.

Sorting through this set of photos, I feel that shooting a character that comes with wasteland industrial elements in a real workshop environment truly clashes out a unique compatibility, better showcasing the stylistic traits of the character Lucia.
