[Jane Doe cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero's Top Undercover Agent: Tension at the Comic Con

These Cosplay convention photos of Jane Doe from the Ningbo ACGWorld Comic Con truly captured the dangerous yet effortless presence of Zenless Zone Zero's undercover agent.

For this set of photos, starting with the core visual elements: the glossy black leather jacket is the soul of the look. The venue's high industrial ceiling combined with intense spotlights cast beautiful localized highlights across the leather, creating a substantial, rich texture. To keep the jacket from looking bulky, a fabric with great drape was chosen so that in standing or crouching stances, the natural creases contour the body cleanly. The white inner shirt and folded cuffs form a sharp black-and-white contrast, while the circular shoulder clasps add a sense of rugged structure.

For the hairstyle, a red gradient was applied to the tips; this splash of crimson in the dark hair easily grabbed attention even under the chaotic convention lighting. The matching animal ears and long tail were critical to accuracy; the ears were intentionally reinforced to fit snugly to the head without slipping during shooting. The metallic-sheen tail featured a bendable internal wire frame, allowing it to curve naturally to match body postures—though with heavy convention foot traffic, keeping the tail from brushing against passersby was indeed a minor challenge.

The black tactical holster strap around the thigh is an essential accessory for adding combat-ready edge; combined with a Black tights outfit and platform high heels, it elongated the overall body proportions beautifully. The prop gun in hand featured a well-crafted matte finish with satisfying heft, avoiding any cheap, plasticky look.

Heavy foot traffic in the hall on the day of the shoot made framing quite tricky. Fortunately, the photographer was very patient, finding several spots near structural pillars away from main aisles and using a wide aperture in our Convention photography to blur out passing crowds and exhibition booths. Since the ambient venue light was rather harsh and prone to casting deep facial shadows, we utilized portable fill lighting to balance facial exposure, ensuring details of the red lips and eye makeup remained crisp.

In terms of pose design, we avoided overly exaggerated gestures, leaning instead toward the languid yet guarded nature of an undercover operative. For instance, sitting with the gun resting near the chin or a kneeling pose with raised hands conveyed that striking contrast of holding a lethal weapon while remaining thoroughly poised and relaxed. The post-processing preserved the authentic physical textures without destructive retouching, focusing on the oily sheen of the leather and the cool-toned color palette to bring out the character's combat capability and enigmatic aura. Pairing the character's undercover background with this crisp, sharp styling worked wonderfully. The shoot attracted onlookers among fellow fans, and the final results made the exhausting day thoroughly worthwhile.
