I shot a very satisfying cosplay photoshoot with Ruan Mei's Chinese-style clothing, and today I will select a few photos from it to share first. The blue and white color palette of the costume along with the golden patterns show great texture under the studio lights. To match the character's calm and composed temperament, a sense of volume was added to the hairstyle, which is adorned with pearl and flower hair accessories. The shooting scene was chosen at the Miyou Miaomiaowu studio. The screens, hanging calligraphy scrolls, and the pipa prop in the corner within the interior set add many layers to the frame. The reflective material of the floor perfectly catches the reflection, bringing a sense of serenity and delicacy to the entire photo.

This time, I experimented with both high heels and barefoot styles, capturing the character's casual and spontaneous daily state from different angles. The cooperation with photographer Awei was highly tacit; he is excellent at capturing the moments where the character merges with the environment. I adjusted my movements and gaze several times in front of the lens, hoping to convey Ruan Mei's indifferent yet somewhat scholarly aura. Cosplay is not just about restoring the outfit; the compatibility of one's state and the scene's atmosphere is also crucial. The currently selected photos include scenes of sitting upright with a fan, as well as quiet moments with slightly lowered eyes, recording interpretations of different facets. There are still more photos from other angles in this cosplay photoshoot, which I will find time to share slowly later. Being able to invest energy into shaping a favorite character image and slowly polishing the shooting details in the studio makes the whole process incredibly rewarding.
