[Azur Lane Cosplay] Pink Bunny Ear Diva Under Stage Lights

This photoshoot in front of the stage captured the exact vintage theater aesthetic I had always envisioned. The red velvet backdrop paired with a warm marquee lightbulb sign created an authentic stage atmosphere ready for performance; picking up this brass vintage stand microphone instantly got me into character.

For the costume selection, I tried this light pink glossy bodysuit, whose material reflected a stunning texture under the stage lighting. It is paired with white semi-sheer puffy oversized sleeves and tiered lace ruffles on the skirt, along with a translucent tulle train on the side of the waist that adds an airy, gorgeous flow when moving or posing. The headwear was crafted with great attention to detail—a mini hat with black ribbons and ruffles, crowned with upright bunny ears, instantly enriching the visual depth of the Bunny ear outfit. To match the stage performance vibe, I chose opaque White stockings for the lower half, accented with delicate pink bows on the side of the thighs, keeping the overall styling sweet and cute while adding a touch of playful theatrical flair.

During the shoot, I particularly want to thank the senior photographer who brought me to this prime location and helped frame the absolute best angles. They mentioned that the incoming light here would render fair, clean skin tones, while the red backdrop served as a perfect dark contrast to make the subject pop completely. To capture vibrant, dynamic moments on stage, I tested several different poses—tilting my head slightly while holding the microphone, standing on one leg to highlight leg lines, or cradling my face with both hands—striving for natural grace combined with stage presence.

While prepping this project, the line "Promise me, after listening to this song, you'll become the bunny's follower!" kept echoing in my mind, so my performance felt like hosting a real mini interactive concert. That is the core joy of shooting at conventions—finding a balance between the 2D world and reality, immersing oneself in the happiness a character brings. To avoid looking stiff, I practiced in the mirror repeatedly, especially balance-heavy nuances like lifting one leg and smoothing the sleeves, ensuring my center of gravity stayed stable while keeping the flowing tulle skirt undisturbed.

The theatrical stage set combined with this custom outfit produced delightful results. Whether it was the soft sheen on the White stockings or the vibrant pop of the glossy pink bodysuit, everything looked harmonious and striking before the red curtain. Cosplay relies on teamwork and a bit of luck to materialize the visions in our minds into tangible art.
