Carrying all this gear, I finished the last Talos-II Communication log for the Chronicles of Seeking Scattered Legacies at the local convention. The location was chosen next to a carousel at night, and the contrast between the cool blue light and warm fill light was indeed perfect for Gilberta's outdoor look this time. During the shoot, the amusement park's LED string lights were very bright, forming a ring of beautiful halo bokeh. Holding that heavy long-handled weapon, I looked for positions under the blue and white light while the photographer squatted at a low angle for a low-angle shot. This perspective visually maximizes the tactical feel of the outfit while integrating the structure of the amusement rides behind me, creating another psychedelic atmosphere outside the wilderness of Talos-II.

Regarding costume details, this red-and-black coat features a glossy finish, which gives a wonderful luster under the night flash. The design of the inner black tactical vest and waist buckles is relatively complex, requiring careful adjustment during wear so that the overall shape doesn't look bloated. The combination of leg warmers and leather straps, along with the black glossy platform boots on my feet, forms the visual focus of the lower body, which is indeed very popular with the lens. To pursue better visual effects, the wig was intentionally selected to be thick and multi-layered curls. Paired with the black plush beast ears on top of my head and the huge beast tail behind me, my center of gravity would be affected by the drag of the tail when the range of motion was slightly larger.

I have also watched many Talos-II related profile videos before, and the character Gilberta possesses a unique coolness and sense of power in her setting. Therefore, during the shoot, I intentionally held back my expressions and kept my gaze focused, avoiding showing teeth or smiling too much, which aligns better with the character's identity. The texture of that long staff prop is exceptionally good; the prop team applied a heavy blackened weathering effect, and there are mechanical assembly structures on the edges. It has a significant weight in hand and offers great expressiveness when interacting with various poses. In this nighttime amusement park scene, there is actually a slight, subtle mismatch between the amusement park and the world view of Talos-II, but this cold-and-warm contrast happens to make the photos look as if the character has stopped at some remnant of civilization midway through a mission.

The convention floor had massive foot traffic, and squeezing through the crowd in this gear while sporting beast ears and a tail was quite a test of physical endurance. However, being able to immerse myself in the character during each shoot and treating every movement and prop placement seriously brings a massive sense of accomplishment. From tidying up clothes to confirming makeup, and then adjusting the position of weapons and props, a lot of time was spent solely for the final presentation.

Choosing to shoot this set of photos in the amusement park at night was actually a departure from conventional studio photography. Outdoor lighting changes rapidly, making it easy to encounter inconsistent exposure issues. However, the photographer's color management was highly experienced; by using a flash to illuminate the subject and darkening the surrounding ambient light, they captured that slightly cyber-esque cool blue tone of the amusement park, making the makeup look exceptionally clean. Although the layered outfit caused my body temperature to rise easily, under this fantasy-colored lighting, the kind of piercing clarity presented in the photos was exactly what we wanted. The most satisfying part of Cosplay sharing is turning a flat design blueprint into a three-dimensional reality, and facing the world through the character's perspective in front of the lens.

Overall, I am quite satisfied with this Talos-II Communication log. I also met many like-minded friends at the convention, and we exchanged tips on gear fabrication. From makeup to costuming, and down to the handling of accessories, every serious execution ultimately transforms into a clear story in the photographs. There was a small interlude during the shoot where the staff's joint became a bit loose, but it was quickly repaired on-site, ensuring it wouldn't affect the integrity of the long-handled weapon and the overall frame.
