Shooting Little Cheshire this time centered on that slightly languid, restless mood where she can barely sit still. When preparing this outfit, I spent considerable time researching the details. This black-and-white maid-style Lolita dress features cascading ruffles on the back and sleeves; texture is paramount, so before the shoot, I carefully ironed every piece of lace and fold to ensure that opulent presence held up before the lens. The wig was chosen with a gray-and-blue two-tone blend, which, paired with blue colored contacts, gave off an exquisitely crafted doll-like aesthetic.

For makeup, the blush blending and layered eye makeup were specifically designed. To complement the wig's palette, cool-toned pink hues were used alongside fine shimmer, allowing a natural flush of life to radiate under the vintage warm lighting. The foundation pursued a matte, porcelain clarity to better accentuate the eye colors.

To align with the premise of being restless, unable to sit still, and playing with Manjuu instead, I invested ample effort into pose design. It could neither be too rigid nor overly dignified. For instance, when sitting on the sofa, I intentionally teased the yellow plush Manjuu, letting my gaze drift into space or curling my legs up. Maintaining this posture was actually quite challenging: because the dress is long with an expansive train, the slightest shift would press against the lace edges, requiring continuous recalibration of my center of gravity and the drape of the skirt hem. Putting on the outfit was equally challenging—the back corseting and petticoat required assistance to cinch tightly; too loose looked bulky, while too tight left me breathless. To keep the structured silhouette crisp, I could only stand or sit with extreme care during breaks. While inconvenient, this is precisely the joy of Anime cosplay—overcoming these challenges to draw infinitely closer to the character.

The shooting location was deliberately chosen for its vintage European charm. Classical oil paintings and a white fireplace sat behind me, flanked by golden candelabras and statues—an environment that effortlessly draws one into character. To highlight the texture of the White stockings and garters, I experimented with compositions across multiple angles. In standing poses, shifting weight to one side while slightly arching the instep beautifully elongated the leg silhouette. When seated on the sofa, letting one leg drape naturally while lifting the other slightly utilized the skirt's slit and the hem-lifting gesture to naturally reveal the lines of the White stockings and absolute territory, rather than flaunting deliberate allure—aiming squarely for an effortless grace tinged with subtle charm.

The lace tops of the black-and-white stockings easily leave pressure marks, so during shooting breaks I had to carefully adjust their tension to prevent visible creases on my skin; this is often overlooked when wearing such outfits, yet keeping the skin smooth ensures far superior post-production quality. The outfit contains numerous accessories, such as the golden chains across the chest and waist, which would tangle if my movements were too large, requiring me to straighten them out each time I shifted poses. As for expression control, Cheshire's gaze sometimes carries a hint of innocence and bewilderment. When capturing close-ups, I adjusted my chin angle and eyelid tension repeatedly in front of the lens. It couldn't look aggressive, yet needed ample magnetic charm. Paired with the warm yellow ambient light, I asked the photographer to minimize flat frontal light in favor of side-backlighting to outline the strands of hair and shoulder lace, which not only made the garment's texture more three-dimensional, but also rendered the skin exceptionally translucent.

While Little Cheshire usually leaves a lively, energetic impression, this time I wanted to accentuate the contrast of her quiet moments. Spacing out while hugging Manjuu or looking momentarily lost while lifting her skirt hem were my attempts to faithfully recreate the multi-faceted nature of her personality. Cosplay is never simply putting on clothes; from muscular control in poses to micro-adjustments in facial expressions, it demands complete devotion.
