[Kuki Shinobu Cosplay] Genshin Impact Arataki Gang Second-in-Command Maid Outfit: Commandingly Cool

Finally received these Kuki Shinobu convention photos from the New Year's Day Guangzhou Firefly ACG Expo!

Pairing this black-and-white Maid outfit, the bright red shimenawa rope hairpiece serves as a vibrant highlight. Wearing a black mask alongside purple contact lenses covers most of my face, which ironically intensifies the lethal focus and mystery in my eyes. A golden choker at the neck adds refined detail, while white gloves accented with red stripes visually enhance a sharp, efficient aesthetic.

I specifically chose open-toe platform sandals paired with long black stockings, complemented by a thigh harness strap under the short skirt—creating a beautifully balanced visual mix. Holding an unsheathed long blade provides a powerful anchor point while framing poses, helping elongate body proportions.

Even though it was New Year's Day, temperatures in Guangzhou weren't particularly warm. Posing outside the venue in an open skirt and sandals had me shivering in the cold. However, photographer @ChangshengJian captured phenomenal angles—especially that low-angle kneeling stance with the sword, delivering the exact razor-sharp edge I envisioned.

For this character, the aura of the Arataki Gang's second-in-command adapts brilliantly to a high-contrast style like this: the gentle elegance of a Maid outfit juxtaposed against the cold lethality of her weapon. While many know her classic outfit, this maid rendition carries a distinct charm. The mask and long gloves even lend a subtle secret agent vibe. Backlighting and lens flares in a few shots captured fleeting dynamic motion, elevating the final set. The prop blade handled smoothly on set, anchoring every motion with weight.

I poured significant effort into makeup and wig styling for this Kuki Shinobu cosplay. The mint green wig was custom-trimmed in layers to flow naturally, revealing gorgeous hair texture under sunlight. White frill trims and pink rope ties prevented the outfit from feeling monotonous. Poses were calibrated step-by-step to blend combat tension with maid grace. Overall, these frames reflect my full interpretation of the character and concept.

It was a fantastic convention shoot and a joy meeting so many ACG enthusiasts on site. Though outdoor shoots present physical challenges, seeing these final results makes every bit of prep and freezing cold completely worthwhile.
