[Koharu cosplay] The Medical Angel in Blue Archive, Pure Interpretation under White Ambiance

Regarding this medical-themed look for Koharu cosplay from Blue Archive, several details from the original character design were heavily considered during the preparation stage. The black-and-white nurse cap, paired with custom black feather decorations on both sides and the floating pink ring halo on top of the head, is the most distinct visual feature of this cosplay. To match the character's primary pink-and-white color palette, I specially wore a pink neck-hanging stethoscope, paired with all-white gloves and stiletto white high heels, striving to achieve the character's unique cleanliness and sense of healing visually.

For the shooting environment, a pure white backdrop was chosen, utilizing high-key lighting to make the overall frame appear bright and pure, reducing complex shadow interference so that the color restoration of the costume and props is much higher. Regarding the arrangement of different poses, I tried to display the somewhat clumsy yet serious part of the character's personality: such as her concentration when holding a book, her anticipation when extending both hands forward, or her pensiveness when squatting and resting her chin on her hands. These unscripted natural expressions, assisted by props (like the specific merchandise booklet on the cover and books), add a sense of narrative to the flat photos during this pure white studio shoot.

For themed activities like the "Anime Sight Plan" and "Doujin Creation Festival," as a creator, I prefer to respond to fans' love for specific character outfits through high-quality actual shoots. For this shoot, the trimming and styling of the wig also underwent multiple adjustments to ensure the bangs fall exactly between the eyebrows and eyes, which, paired with specific eye makeup, makes that slightly lazy gaze more accurate. A pure white background looks simple, but it requires meticulous control over highlight clipping to prevent the clothes from turning dead white and losing their textures, a process that heavily tested the coordination between the photographer and me.

The natural hanging and wrapping of the stethoscope during movements is also an important part of the composition. It not only enhances the sense of immersion but also adds line extensions to the originally monotonous white uniform. After repeated attempts and adjustments, the final frozen actions in this photo set retain the iconic elements while balancing a sense of fashion. Every light source angle and every prop placement was constantly fine-tuned for the best effect. This is not just a simple outfit change, but a visual interpretation of the character's core. Through the combination of scene narrative and character dynamics, this nurse cosplay look becomes more than just a cosplay display—it turns into vivid pieces of Anime-style photography, which is the way of expression I have always pursued. Although the shooting time was tight this time, under limited conditions, the final presented texture still manages to convey the specific style of the character I hoped for.
