When shooting this set of Zhen Hai, it happened to be in the public area of the anime convention. Because of the lighting and the special slatted ceiling, the top structure of the venue created a slight cyber-like visual dislocation feel. I tried many different sitting postures on the stepladder to find the best visual focal point. Wearing the modified cheongsam paired with black stockings and high heels, along with the black-and-gold folding fan in hand, I personally think the most catching part of this look lies in a sense of restraint inherent in the Dragon Empery style. Although the copywriting in the post sounds very arrogant, combined with the gaze of the red colored lenses, it genuinely brings out the character's trait of being both gentle and slightly aggressive.

Regarding the styling details of this outfit, the black-and-gold color-schemed patterns reflect wonderfully under the cool white venue lights. The sleeves are a detached long style, and the gauze fabric falls naturally during movement. To match Zhen Hai's iconic hairstyle, a side hair ornament with tassels and white flowers was specially selected for embellishment. For emotional pacing during the shoot, it was mainly about the wandering of the gaze and a slightly raised jaw angle; it didn't need too much force, but instead carried more presence. Actually, that low-angle stretching shot while standing perfectly displays the shape of the draped cloak, and the dislocated adjustment of the center of gravity keeps the standing posture from looking too forced.

Convention photos sometimes test the rationality of posing the most because the surrounding foot traffic is heavy. However, using a folding ladder and a wide-angle lens effectively stretches the lines, completely utilizing the visual advantage of long, slender legs. When shooting these frozen moments, the most enjoyable part is bringing flat 2D characters into 3D real environments through makeup, costumes, and props, forming a wonderful sense of dialogue. Whether flattening or flipping the folding fan, every action must conform to the character's own setting; for instance, the orientation of the fan surface and the fingering of holding the fan all received attention to detail, striving to look relaxed yet rigorous.

This set of photos doesn't pursue the MMORPG feel of excessive editing, hoping instead to retain real skin textures and the on-site light and shadow atmosphere. Although there was a slight adjustment period with the overlap of hand-held props and clothing, the atmosphere of the final presented photos is still very on point. The overall output efficiency also matches the fast pace of convention photos, and the captured freshness is truly precious.
