To complement the outfit, I specifically picked black stockings and black high heels, which not only visually elongated my legs but also created a sharp contrast against the subtle golden woven patterns of the garment. Shooting inside the studio set, the photographer set up the lighting with immense care—especially the sidelight, which brought out a luxurious, high-end texture in the dragon embroidery across the skirt. In the afternoon, I strolled around the food festival area; although mobile reception was terrible and checking social media was almost impossible, it unexpectedly helped me slow down and truly immerse myself in the convention's energy. Crowds were a bit lighter than Saturday, yet the passion remained electric. Free from endless queueing, the shooting pace felt much more relaxed and composed.
Now back to the black-and-gold look. Truthfully, walking around the hall in this outfit was exhausting—the heels were at least ten centimeters high, and striking challenging poses in the set made my feet ache intensely after standing all day. However, seeing the sleek body lines and refined styling on camera made every second completely worth it. The folding fan was the soul prop of this look; whether snapped shut or unfolded, paired with tailored light and shadow, the mood instantly peaked. I remember one shot where I sat sideways on a chair, lifting the hemline slightly; the black stockings and patent leather heels had a stunning texture under cool light. While I rarely try this blend of sultry allure and commanding presence, the result was surprisingly breathtaking.
Next came the casual look featuring red hair cosplay, styled with a slender side braid, a black-and-white varsity jacket, a khaki maxi skirt, and chunky platform wooden geta clogs. It was exceptionally comfortable and perfect for wandering the convention floor. Holding a soda bottle in hand and pulling a goofy expression toward the lens, I felt completely relaxed. Honestly, the most captivating aspect of convention photos is this candid, spontaneous charm—even amidst bustling crowds, if the emotion lands when the shutter clicks, it is a great shot.
The blue-haired combat suit, delivering a mecha style cosplay vibe, was by far the biggest challenge of the day. Made of glossy patent leather, wearing it in a thirty-plus degree venue felt like walking in a portable sauna. Furthermore, the red spear prop was quite hefty; lifting it with one hand while holding a cold, stoic expression required tremendous core stability. Luckily, the studio set offered an ornate golden carved chair that delivered high-contrast visual tension against the black leather outfit. When capturing this pose, I pulled the over-the-knee heeled boots snugly to accentuate clean, sharp leg contours. This series radiated cold determination, starkly distinct from the earlier vibes.
The final look was an ancient style cosplay featuring black hair and red robes. To construct the towering updo, the stylist used abundant hairspray and hair pieces, complemented by pink fuzzy ear cuffs and a sheer gossamer shawl. Seated on a gilded European-style chair, the red-and-black contrast felt lavish with an exotic allure. Taking off the shoes and stepping barefoot onto the floor was honestly born out of pure exhaustion from high heels, yet those impromptu frames unexpectedly yielded a delicate, poignant sense of beauty.
It was a thoroughly rewarding convention day. Shooting and selecting photos alongside friends left me physically exhausted, yet my spirits were soaring high. I look forward to unlocking even more styles in the convention photo studio next time!
