I finally got the authorization and full costume for Xiao Qiao's Maltese Line Friends skin, I'm so excited! And taking advantage of this opportunity, congratulations to Xiao Qiao for winning the 2026 Annual Popular Hero! I prepared for this styling for a long time. From wig trimming to costume details, every single step had to be meticulously polished. The aqua-blue twin tails needed to be styled with a natural curve, avoiding looking too flat against the scalp, and paired with that pair of fluffy animal ears; this soft, cute vibe is really hard to capture, and a slight carelessness makes it look unnatural. I deliberately clipped pink star, yellow triangle, and bear pattern hair clips onto my bangs, and for the makeup, to match this cute style, I deepened the eye contour, hoping to recreate that sweet feeling.

The highlights of this outfit lie in the exaggerated cuffs and that pair of oversized plush leg warmers. The white long-sleeved top is made of a very lightweight fabric with flared cuffs, and the chest features pink cat paw decorations. The blue pleated skirt on the lower body is printed with geometric and star patterns, with yellow stars and pearl chains hanging on the side. The white leg warmers feature blue and pink straps, and the absolute best part is that the shoe toes have 3D smiling faces of a little bear and a white small animal. Walking around the studio wearing these shoe-leg warmers, I felt like I was stepping on clouds, though my center of gravity was a bit unstable, so I had to slightly tighten my core strength during the shoot, especially for that photo of stepping on a small brown bear plush toy with one leg—in order to showcase the leg line contour, I tried several times to find the right balance point, maintaining stability while keeping a natural facial expression.

There was also a special little interlude during the shoot: a blue budgerigar suddenly flew over and landed on my wrist, which was truly a super surprise! It stayed there so obediently, and as I carefully pointed at it, the captured moment turned out exceptionally vivid, adding a bit of vitality to the originally static frame. That large pillow printed with MALTESE was simply a shooting artifact; its blue-and-yellow color scheme perfectly echoed my clothes, serving not only as a background color block but also being used to block half my face or held in my arms to increase the image's layering. I also specially grabbed a blue-haired little doll, which matched the yellow star pillow, making the overall color scheme very uniform, and the blue-yellow color-blocking stood out particularly well against the pure white background.

The bright yellow blanket and white carpet in the studio, together with the huge teddy bear and gift boxes, added a lot of cozy everyday warmth to the entire shoot. This Maltese Line Friends styling isn't a particularly gorgeous battle suit, but its strength lies in being very grounded; that everyday languidness and cuteness are truly captivating. I also tried using the large pillow as a skirt to block in front of me, or holding the pillow high up, and that playfulness and vitality probably match Xiao Qiao's agile feel in the game even better. I must say, this shoot was truly delightful, and the photographer @一支橘子汽水 captured the angles wonderfully, perfectly recording that plush texture and color collision. Whether it's the avatar frame received earlier or this new styling, both have deepened my affection for this character.
