This photoshoot challenged the Jinghong Dance look of Gongsun Li from Honor of Kings. From the moment I received this red modified Japanese-style outfit, I was pondering how to combine A-Li's agility with poetry. On the day of the shoot, we used the Zhiyun power light for fill light; the light quality was indeed very clean, preserving the hidden patterns on the clothes and the details of the golden embroidery. The oil-paper umbrella prop was exceptionally photogenic in the indoor scene; whether it was half-opened and leaning against the shoulder, or closed and held in hand, it could quickly bring out the character's atmosphere. In order to achieve a successful Anime recreation of that gentle yet playful temperament, the makeup focused on the eye makeup and the overall coordination of the orange color palette. Securing the rabbit ears and hair accessories took a lot of effort, but fortunately, the final effect was very natural. The equipment provided by the camera rental service also helped a lot, making the entire shooting workflow very smooth. This set of photos experimented with different angles of composition, including the extension of sitting poses and close-ups near the lens. The red and white color scheme formed a great visual layer with the dark wooden furniture and green potted plants. Every click of the shutter captured the moment of A-Li's breathtaking glimpse. Although the movements were not as complex as a dance, through the cooperation of props and expressions, that light and ethereal feeling could also be conveyed. This shoot was truly a very comfortable creative experience in Cosplay photography, bringing a 2D character into a real-world scene and using light and shadow to tell a story in this Ancient style portrait session.
