This pink-style outfit for Xiao Wu actually involved a lot of thought regarding costume details. The satin jacquard and lace patching make the overall texture more three-dimensional, while the star and heart decorations at the neckline echo the original character's lively nature. The wig was deliberately styled into slightly curled braids, paired with a rabbit-ear headband and a white plush bunny bag, making it visually closer to the cute attributes of the "Soft Bone Rabbit".
During the shoot, I specially chose an indoor setting with warm light combined with cherry blossom branches, utilizing a plush carpet and a wooden screen to create a soft, ancient-style atmosphere. The light hits from the upper side, beautifully highlighting the glossy surface of the skirt hem and the layers of the lace. For the makeup, it is dominated by a pink-orange palette, with blended eyeshadow and blush, and the lip color is a glossy texture, which, combined with false eyelashes, makes the gaze look more vivid and agile.
For poses, I experimented with sitting and half-kneeling positions, trying my best to keep my limbs stretched out and avoid rigidity. The composition during this shoot also took post-processing cropping into account, making it convenient for everyone to see the complete details of the costume. In fact, every time I do a Xiao Wu cosplay, I gain a new understanding of the original work. Choosing this pink modified version this time is to showcase her gentle yet lively side. Adjusting the shoulder straps and leg rings of the costume required some patience, but the final result was absolutely worth it. I hope friends who love Chinese anime cosplay can feel the dedication behind this.
