This Touhou Project Reisen Udongein Inaba cosplay photoshoot primarily focuses on showcasing a strong Sense of contrast in personality. For hair and makeup, straight purple hair paired with crimson contact lenses was the core; I intentionally emphasized under-eye blush and bold red lips to match the character's subtly melancholic yet sharp demeanor. The outfit featured a white ruffled blouse paired with a red necktie and a pink-and-white tiered lace skirt, accented with black leather gloves and studded wristbands—the collision of soft elegance and hardcore edge yielded fantastic results. The props prepared this time presented an extreme Sense of contrast: a black handgun to express her cold, lethal side, and a strawberry cake with silver cutlery to highlight her soft, gentle side.
The shoot was primarily conducted on a rooftop, where the cool-toned twilight lighting perfectly suited the oppressive, solemn atmosphere while wielding a weapon; for the cake-eating shots, we switched to warm lighting, instantly softening the mood. Managing props during Cosplay photography is tricky in practice—especially holding the gun, where finger tension needed careful control to avoid looking stiff through thick gloves, while directing a piercing gaze through the lens. When shooting the cake-eating sequence, natural movement was key: delicately lifting a touch of cream with the fork while gazing intently at the food to evoke casual, everyday relaxation. Huge thanks to photographer @Fiore for patient posing guidance and professional light and shadow capture, especially freezing authentic emotional nuances in the eyes. Although the props and costume caused slight inconvenience in the chilly weather, requiring continuous adjustments for high-angle shots, the final visual effect delivered a wonderful blend of cute Bunny girl charm and dangerous allure, making the entire experience thoroughly enjoyable.
