Sitting on a swaying train, the scenery outside the window flashes past. It is a journey belonging to summer, with the air still carrying the moisture and sultry heat after the rain; this Japanese vibe is truly captivating. For this Yosuga no Sora Kasugano Sora cosplay, I specially chose to shoot in a scene that can restore the character's inner world. The white tutu skirt reflects soft light and shadow inside the train, and the texture of every pleat has been meticulously polished, hoping to maximize the restoration of the character's pure and slightly melancholic quality.
During the shooting process, I kept thinking about how to precisely capture that emotion of "waiting." That subtle change in the gaze during the journey, born out of longing, is the soul of this set of photos. The use of light and shadow is also a key point, utilizing the natural light from outside the train window to soften the facial contours and bring out a dreamlike cinematic feel.
In fact, the Train photography wasn't all smooth sailing; to coordinate with this moist and sultry Summer cosplay atmosphere, many details required repeated communication and adjustment. Looking through these photos now, I can still feel the rhythm of speeding along the countryside tracks. This is the aesthetic I pursue—not just restoring the character, but restoring the emotion of that exact moment. I hope everyone can feel the chirping of cicadas and the scenery outside the window of that summer through these lenses.
