[Seed cosplay] Zenless Zone Zero x Chabaidao Collaboration: One-Day Store Manager at the Kuanzhai Alley Flagship Store

On August 14, 2026, the Zenless Zone Zero x Chabaidao collaboration offline event officially launched the One-Day Store Manager experience at the Chengdu Kuanzhai Alley Flagship Store.

Today I cosplayed the character Seed. To faithfully recreate this styling for Seed cosplay, a significant amount of time was dedicated to hair, makeup, and costume preparations beforehand. The light-blue braided wig was meticulously combed and styled, with the silver star-shaped hair accessory on the bangs serving as the finishing touch that greatly elevated the overall dynamism of the head profile. For makeup, I opted for a clear, translucent foundation while emphasizing the eye contours, matching the character's demeanor to deliver a fresh visual aesthetic with that signature anime luster. What pleased me most was the wide silver choker around my neck; paired with the translucent top over black innerwear, it instantly brought out distinct layering and a futuristic sci-fi vibe. Although wearing it required care to avoid scratches, its visual presentation in front of the lens was truly ideal.

Partnering with me today was another cosplayer doing Orphie cosplay. Her styling was equally full of visual impact, featuring orange-red short hair, lifelike elf ears, and a silver mechanical headpiece, while her black-and-yellow tactical jacket gave the outfit an immense sense of strength. On set, we held the exclusive collaboration drink cups and character cards, whose orange and light-blue color collision harmonized seamlessly with the event theme.

Kuanzhai Alley in August in Chengdu was bustling with tourists, but thanks to the air conditioning inside the flagship store and everyone's enthusiasm, our shooting and interactive experience went very smoothly. Nonetheless, wearing these intricate outfits and heavy wigs while standing in the store for most of the day was truly a test of physical stamina. The wig's stability, the headpiece tension, and facial makeup touch-ups all required constant attention; fortunately, we had done thorough prep with setting sprays and secure fastenings, ensuring no unexpected hiccups during our busy One-Day Store Manager duties.

As the One-Day Store Manager, the most vital part was interacting with on-site visitors and players. Even with specific notes regarding signing guidelines, it did not diminish everyone's interactive enthusiasm in the slightest. Many players specifically traveled over upon hearing about this limited-time Chabaidao collaboration to check in, enthusiastically taking photos with us in a lively yet orderly atmosphere. The world of Zenless Zone Zero inherently carries strong urban techwear and street fashion vibes; placing this aesthetic within Kuanzhai Alley, with its profound cultural heritage, sparked a marvelous cultural collision. We responded to everyone's passion using the character's expressions and gestures, striving to bring the character's authentic aura into real-world interactions.

During breaks in between work, I closely examined the physical collaboration merchandise. The packaging design was very thoughtful, with the cup sleeves and collectible cards boasting high-grade materials and exquisite printing quality—truly limited-edition treasures worth collecting for fans. Being able to showcase and share these product details with players in real life and hand over collaboration drinks in person felt far more genuine and profound than simply posing for photo shoots.

After a full day of activities, though physically exhausted, I felt spiritually fulfilled. Being able to combine 2D anime culture with Chengdu's vibrant local life through Seed cosplay, bringing the character into the public eye, is deeply meaningful in itself. Today, thanks to the arrival of Zenless Zone Zero, the Kuanzhai Alley Flagship Store gained a unique splash of color, and I spent an exceptionally fulfilling weekend in this special role.
